It works as an anagram, imho I just don't think it fits our poem, the context and tone of "wine" is all offtoadlguy wrote:What is the problem wined is a word (to drink wine like from a cup on the next line) You know - the killer wined and dinedJohnnyCon wrote: They aready tried that toad, wine = drink / whine = to moan and cry
I'll get working on revamping 2 and 4 too!

Garden of Good and Evil? Maybe it's metaphorical.unrepentant wrote:Yeah but how is that a clue? A garden where a killer had some wine? It's pretty much as meaningless as the lion.toadlguy wrote: What is the problem wined is a word (to drink wine like from a cup on the next line) You know - the killer wined and dined

like someone said, maybe it's at a zoo and you have to cross the lion pen to some kind of garden, where there will be some kind of cup thing where she/he hid the clue.unrepentant wrote:Yeah but how is that a clue? The zoo in LA charges for entry, I can't imagine she'd plant it somewhere we had to pay to get to. Also if it's in a zoo it'll be really public and likely to be tampered with. Planting in a zoo doesn't make sense.elDes wrote:like someone said, maybe it's at a zoo and you have to cross the lion pen to some kind of garden, where there will be some kind of cup thing where she/he hid the clue..

No Lauren, it's literal
Inside the gate you will defend
Them yet oppose deny olde friend
This act up here not yet commenced
Is to a cross deep in soil fenced
The garden where the killer wined
Still holds the cup for you to find.
might not be quite right, but the holy grail is in the garden of Gethsemane, apparently. Time to dig around the net for the chalice pic.

CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
I reworked some of this and I pulled out words like "crop(s)" and "seed(s)."
Perhaps something along the lines of that? It would work with the garden part, as well as soil and fenced.. Maybe someone else can take a look. I'm no good at poetry.

In some garden where "the killer" drank something, there's a cup waiting to be found by us. The drop is a cup in a garden (park? whatever). Anyone agree?
