Re: Music
Are you the one who did the Order of Geico videos? You're my hero.raptorsoul wrote:Okay, I have been following but I have not posted before.
Perhaps you all found this and I missed your posts, but I was playing with the audio myself and found a clip of music when the track is sped up several times. I am no music fan so I dont know this song, but it sounds like "hell was never safe" or something like that. Can anyone clarify and set me on the right track?

Yeah, we can relate that to Cassie trying to change things to avoid Bree's death....Broken Kid wrote:But I've seen Donnie Darko a few times. It's sort of about the end of the world. It's about time travel and the interconnectedness of things, and going back to change things so that the world doesn't end. That's sorta relevant, I guess, right?

I got the impression from my super cool indie friends that everyone who likes that movie is a tool. (don't get mad..I didn't say it) As for church, well... I'm somewhat convinced my plastic ass will incinerate if I enter onelordgreystoke422 wrote:Spacie this is all gods way of telling to watch (not so)obscure movies and get your plastic ass to church...spaciegirl wrote:You know...I woke up late, I've never seen that blasted Donnie Darko movie, and quoting anything from the bible to me is completely pointless as I am a heathen. But I've seen Donnie Darko a few times. It's sort of about the end of the world. It's about time travel and the interconnectedness of things, and going back to change things so that the world doesn't end. That's sorta relevant, I guess, right?
Actually, the Director's Cut Official interpretation of Donnie Darko is that is the universe occasionally hiccups and twists inward on itself and exchanges materiel and occurrences between different places and points and time. When that happens, period of time enclosed within the loop is spun off into a bubble with a limited lifespan. The laws of the bubble universe are different from normal spacetime. Unless a designated individual within the bubble universe figures out what is going on and acts to correct the crossed wires, the eventual collapse of the bubble will destroy both the bubble and the original universe.
You can draw your own parallels to cassieiswatching. It's a scheme that seems compatible to the ciw canon, but it would hugely derivative.
