epogen...that was the first rain in several weeks. It did rain a little bit on the evening of January 4th. But that's it.
Actually...there was a little drizzle on the 17th in parts of LA....that's when we had this freak thunderstorm in the middle of the afternoon and it snowed in Malibu. But it did NOT rain in this part of the valley that day, not enough to register any precipatation.
It's supposed to rain again on this Thursday, too.

Good point, epogen. Someone mentioned that it rained quite a few weeks ago in LA, suggesting that they may film their episodes pretty far in advance now.epogen wrote:very interersting, you could be quite a resource this way. but really do you think that the delay is that short? i mean are they filming on saturday for a monday release? or did it rain a few weeks back too?bethy wrote:Just an FYI...
It doesn't rain very often in LA. But it did rain on Saturday...which is when I suspect #124 was filmed (in Los Angeles). It also rained here today, so if they continue with the rain in the vids, you'll know what day it was filmed.
It's quite possible. Funny that you brought up the helicopters...we haven't heard any in a while. (Watch, now one of the upcoming videos will have a helicopter in it...)krmurr87 wrote:they could just possibly have a reserve of "rainy day" shots oh I'm funny...but really i think they do have like back up footage of Helicoptors as well
Jonas is no Bruce Wayne, but he is a mild-mannered millionare with a secret identity.
He's HamsterMan, and his parents' bedroom is really the entrance to the HamsterCave.
The reference to Bruce Wayne and the hamster tags all make sense now!

I think you're right. Daniel is definitely known for doing strange things. He's pretty spontaneous and seems to act before really thinking. I think it's also possible that he got inebriated enough so that he wasn't fully aware of what he was doing.epogen wrote:daniel leaving with a stranger is weird but he's shown us he does weird things ( think telling everyone he kissed bree, and bringing home randomgirl and all the breaking and entering he does) and he doesn't know the area, so it isn't so strange that he would go far away with a stranger.
Maybe he doesn't know his way around the mountains that well. I assume he knows the general area around his house, but it seems like they're pretty far from where he probably regularly ventured out by now. As for the drunk driving...there's a possibility that the local in question here only had one or two drinks, or maybe he'd been ordering water in a beer bottle to fool Daniel into thinking they were drinking together.epogen wrote:jonas is definitely acting weird. he should know the area, should probably be able to figure out where he was going, and could quite possibly know the local who was drinking, who shouldn't live that far away. i have spent time in northern california, and am not shocked that there would be drunk driving, but how far away would you go to get to a bowling alley, especially on a regular basis?
Stock footage FTW!epogen wrote:ooh sorry to double post, but very good point. the cross shot looked a bit out of place and i was thinking that it was added in too.

aw ae you are a nice person responding to everyone
i can see your point about the mountains, i mean i could get lost in my own backyard, and do this a lot.
but still, why would this "local" go so far to a bowling alley? unless there was some reason to go there? this could mean sinister things

very interesting. may give us some clues on the production schedule, no?bethy wrote:epogen...that was the first rain in several weeks. It did rain a little bit on the evening of January 4th. But that's it.

Anyways, my thought is that the local once lived closer to the bowling alley and probably went there a lot. He may have had to move, but because he knew everyone at this particular bowling alley, and had made friends there, he didn't mind the long ride it may have taken to go there every so often. Maybe it's the only bowling alley at all in the general area, and our local guy enjoys bowling, (maybe he's even on part of a bowling league).
Or, as you pointed out, he could have been a plant sent by someone to get Daniel.
I think it could be a combination of both theories. He was a regular/local at the bowling alley, but may have also had some ties with the Order, so it wasn't suspect that he spoke with Daniel, or that Daniel left with him to anyone in the bowling alley.

ae, i do mean to compliment you, it can be hard to try and break your teeth in here. i have read everything for a few months, and know how negative things can get here.
love your answers for the bowling alley, you spend a lot of time thinking things through. the creators should hire you to clear up their inconsistencies
i do believe that they are filming in different places, don't see why they wouldn't, but it seems like i read a few pages back that someone from the creative team had ties to the area that jonas is supposedly from. it seems like this would make it more likely that they were accurate about their references, no? and didn't someone say that they were travelling hwy 101 in the last video? i just am thinking that there may be something to this strange voyage they are taking. if it is just to get them out of the house so that opaphid can get in, then fine, but i feel like there is some reason behind it.

you guys keep saying that the guy was a local.
well what im thinking is that maybe the guy was a local at the bowling alley and not a local of the area?
although they are making it seem like it is hours away...

Oh yeah. I'm that girl on FOB Life who Rafine said that Reza, Jackson, and Yousef all wanted to screw when I called in.

Tell me about it! I lurked for quite a while before I started actively participating. Most of it was because I was trying to get my feet wet and learn the ropes before jumping in.epogen wrote:ae, i do mean to compliment you, it can be hard to try and break your teeth in here. i have read everything for a few months, and know how negative things can get here.
I think that I just think too much. I did a lot of reading growing up, so I guess I developed an ability to fill in plot holes...especially when most of the books I read were adapted into movies!epogen wrote:love your answers for the bowling alley, you spend a lot of time thinking things through. the creators should hire you to clear up their inconsistencies
They're filming in a different place than the ARG is located. A lot of what we're seeing requires a certain suspension of disbelief. We're to believe that Jonas lives in Northern Cali, near Ukiah and Clearlake, (where I predict he's heading, if he's going up into the mountains). However, they're actually filming the episodes in Southern Cali.epogen wrote:i do believe that they are filming in different places, don't see why they wouldn't, but it seems like i read a few pages back that someone from the creative team had ties to the area that jonas is supposedly from. it seems like this would make it more likely that they were accurate about their references, no? and didn't someone say that they were travelling hwy 101 in the last video? i just am thinking that there may be something to this strange voyage they are taking. if it is just to get them out of the house so that opaphid can get in, then fine, but i feel like there is some reason behind it.
They may have been traveling Hwy 101 in the last vid, but I think we're supposed to believe that it's just a general highway, not a specific one. It's the same reason that the bowling alley was given the fictional name of Pins 'n Pints. The less specific detail they give away, the easier it's supposed to be to believe. People around the forums just have very good eyes though.
I don't know if there's an ulterior motive to having Bree and Jonas leave Jonas' house, (other than them actually going to try and find Daniel), but it's a possibility. I really think that The Creators were trying to find a way to get the story to pick up again. As of right now, I really think their only purpose is to find Daniel, but there may be other reasons for having them leave the house and go so far. Only time will tell, (and speculation will just drive us all mad!).

In other words, the word 'local' is synonymous with 'regular'?kellylen wrote:you guys keep saying that the guy was a local.

yeah i mean it in the same term as a regular. I know that I've used it in that way before.
but i could be wrong in this case. i dunno. it would kind of make sense why they are going so far away

I agree that by 'local' they probably mean that he's a 'regular'. There's a good chance that he once lived closed to the alley, but had to move.kellylen wrote:yeah i mean it in the same term as a regular. I know that I've used it in that way before.

Or there's a chance that the area Jonas lives in is so remote that there's only one bowling alley within a certain radius, so 'local' has a broader meaning than any of us would use.
