mine is just a variant of "goblin"...I started using it in college, when I first began *really* using the web. It was a spur-of-the-moment choice drawn from having watched Labyrinth a few days earlier. I didn't give it a lot of thought (in the sense of long-term naming), and sort of kept on using it...kinda hate to change it now.

Not exactly a thrilling story, but...

My nickname is CJ, and lots of people over the years have shortened it to "ceej". When I was in high school, the movie Under Siege came out, and some friends made it a rather *ahem* interesting joke.

So, change the "ie" to "ei" cause I can't spell, add some random numbers, and voila! seige56!
