one of my favorite pieces is mozart's requiem....
Amazingly, I get cast for chorus parts in musicals. I can stay on key, at least, lol.horcruxes wrote:i just pretendKasdeja wrote:Ah, can't sing...can't sing...

I've yet to see that one. Right now I've got an interesting production of Le Nozze di Figaro from Netflix at home, and I purchased the Karajian DVD of Don Giovanni with Sam Ramey in the title role, but as far as exposure to opera I haven't much. I was a chorus member/dancer/rehearsal conductor on a high school production of Amahl and the Night Visitors, and I listen to Gershwin's Porgy and Bess religiously, but other than that I'm still working on it.Sheikh Gomelez wrote:And The Magic Flute...
i played the flute for a month in 5th grade, but it was so hard that i quit. i regret it now. but oh well, life goes on.Kasdeja wrote:Playing the Magic Flute on my flute during solo and ensemble competition got me a first.

OMG!!! I always wanted to play bass flute, but the director just didn't see my argument about how awesome it was! *very envious indeed*Kasdeja wrote:Flute, piccolo, bass flute and oboe.horcruxes wrote:i played the flute for a month in 5th grade, but it was so hard that i quit. i regret it now. but oh well, life goes on.Kasdeja wrote:Playing the Magic Flute on my flute during solo and ensemble competition got me a first.
