This is what we have so far.
1DEED IF NULL YOW | A ED GEE HI STINT
YOU WILL DEFEND | IN THE GARDEN
In the garden you will defend
2 ED FIR NYLON | DEED SEETHE MOP TYPO.
ONLY FRIEND | THE DOE EYED MOPPETS
The doe eyed moppets only friend ?
(Unsure. Dependant on where the line break is).
3 CONCEDE TEN TOM MY A TETCHIER PUSH,
4 CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
5 ED HEEL KILN WRIT | A ED ERG HEN THREW5
THE KILLER WINED | THE GARDEN WHERE
The garden where the killer wined
6 DOFF ION YO RUT | HITCHED POLLS SLUT.
FOR YOU TO FIND | STILL HOLDS THE CUP
Still holds the cup for you to find
I think everyone generally agrees on the last two lines. I'm unsure about the first two, and all the theories for three and four so far don't seem to make sense to me.

correction, it should be:
Inside the gate you will defend
the doe-eyed moppet’s only friend
The picture has not yet commenced
i tossed a corpse in soil fenced (??? - this is what we need to work on)
The garden where the killer wined
Still holds the cup for you to find
Edit: agreed that the third line could also be problematic...if "commenced" isn't the correct last word of the third line, it could be why we're having so much trouble with the fourth line.

moppet sounds strange...

And, I forgot the picture commenced part. Hmm. Not sure whether its valid or not but it's worth adding to what we have.
Just, it's "Still holds the cup" not "a cup" -- there's no a.
I agree, it sounds strange. And why would she write 'garden' twice? I was thinking the first line might be wrong which is why the second line isn't lining up.

She didn't write garden twice.
The first line should be: "Inside the gate you will defend".

Hmm I must have picked garden up from a typo. Well that makes sense then, but the second line still sounds wrong.

it might be wrong, but it's a lot better than the "myope poet's old needy friend" which is what we had before ihavenopantson came up with "the doe-eyed moppet's only friend"....after all, cassie has referred to bree as "doe-eyed" in a past poem, and calling her a moppet (young child) doesn't seem too weird, to me at least.

I agree. The second line sounds correct. Sorry I can't contribute more than my agreement. Just got caught up and haven't had a chance to look at it, but am starting on it now...

Okay correction, sorry for initial typos:
1DEED IF NULL YOW | A ED GEE HI STINT
YOU WILL DEFEND | INSIDE THE GATE
Inside the gate you will defend
2 ED FIR NYLON | DEED SEETHE MOP TYPO.
ONLY FRIEND | THE DOE EYED MOPPETS
The doe eyed moppets only friend - ?
3 CONCEDE TEN TOM MY | A TETCHIER PUSH,
NOT YET COMMENCED | THE PICTURE HAS
The picture has not yet commenced
4 CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
IN SOIL FENCED | I TOSSED A CORPSE
I tossed a corpse in soil fenced ???
5 ED HEEL KILN WRIT | A ED ERG HEN THREW5
THE KILLER WINED | THE GARDEN WHERE
The garden where the killer wined
6 DOFF ION YO RUT | HITCHED POLLS SLUT.
FOR YOU TO FIND | STILL HOLDS THE CUP
Still holds the cup for you to find
So, 4 and possibly 2, 3 are iffy.
EDIT: I agree that moppet is the best thing so far, it makes the most sense. I just think something is off about it. I'm not sure about it. But it fits in syllable wise which may be why its there.
2ND EDIT: Also, I'm not sure where the line divisions fall, I've just divided them where the possible solutions did.

Maybe you are correct with moppet and it only sounds strange to me because I have never heard that word. (english is not my native language)
EDIT: "Oppose them yet old needy friend" also fits syllable wise.
EDIT2: Or "Some petty hope old needy friend"
