lol, I was gonna watch that, but I found out that night that I don't have that channel. I only have some other form of the History Channel.

The adjectives add an element of psychological warfare amongst the children, because they can insult the circle, confuse the circle with 'May Duck' or 'Gray Puck'

"Flauta" = flute in Spanish. I was a HUGE band nerd in high school...

"Pantera" = panther in Spanish. It was an old school mascot.

My friends and I came up with pennames for each other in high school. We'd sign letters to one another with our names and mine evolved into my handle/screenname/e-mail addy. And, if you didn't notice, mine was crafted during a particularly exciting day in Spanish. ;)

 there were at least two on that night...

I think one of my favorite documentaries was on the sex industry in Hawaii during WWII. That definitely straddles the line between nerd and perv

I know, I have new sheets, AND am wearing new nighties! I feel all super-decked out, with noone to share it with
And don't worry about not having the best New Years, I generally stay away from celebrating that, I just end up getting too emotional *shrug*

rachelalexis wrote:oh, you'd love our family gatherings... it's all highly innapropriate... my grandma likes to call me a peckerhead if I beat her in cards (which is often)

I know, these sheets are looking very un-broken in about now.... I need someone to help me *ahem* steam the wrinkles out of them.... too bad I don't own a steamer... *shifty eyes*
I'm sure a makeshift steamer could easily be concocted! If we put both of our heads together, I have no doubt we'd be able to think of something. ;)

Hee, that's great! I was slurping back the champagne and not-so-great faux bellinis while watching one of those network NYE programs. :)

ugh, I hate the idea of those stupid countdown shows. Showing me all the happy people in a place I've never been, and all the while I usually end up trying to guess how many of them got pickpocketed while they were stumbling around like morons on NYC streets
Maybe my anti-love for the holiday started the year I had my wisdom teeth out on NYE, but that's just a guess :D But at least it means I have a guaranteed hockey game to watch, my favorite NYE tradition! :D

Sweet! I read the first LOTR book (aren't there three sections?) but never made it all of the way through. The movies were fascinating, though. :)
