Here's food for thought. If we assume that the folks who show up are actually going to participate in a filming and the clues we've been given allude to saving 'her'. Are we expected to save Bree?

That's a very interesting proposition, Trainer. And if we don't solve them, do we end up with another Maddy scenario?

I agree with Apo, if only because (like several of you here) I was a witness to the Bree Chat Disaster. Not a good track record is it?
I hope they have thought this through, the liabilities seem kind of staggering if something untoward would happen to (especially) a minor. I would think that sending out invitations to minors, in and of itself, is kinda sketchy. How do the KNOW how old those survey participants really are?
It was smart to have the event during the daytime, this should help keep the crowd down and dissuade school-age kidz from showing up.
In theory, the whole idea is wicked cool ARG stuff. I wish I could attend. I just hope that they have the resources and planning to deal with this.
Good luck. Plan wisely.

I think I just don't like the idea of it. This is an Alternate Reality Game. I want it to stay that way. I'm SOOO curious to see what comes out of this, because it just seems so spur of the moment and crazy to me. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not supportive of this so far.
I'm sure they are keeping quiet right now to not spoil the surprise, but I hope once it is over the Creators will come forward and address our questions and concerns.

That is a cool idea, but could go very very wrong.
The internets a scary place, filled with alot of people who are out of touch with reality.
I think that if anything major goes wrong, it will be because of someone who took the whole "We have to rescue Bree!" thing too far and...you know...actually kidnapped her.
Im sure that the creators have thought this out and made every effort possible to protect everyone (fans, actors, themselves.) But theres no way to ever be completly prepared for the worst.

Exactly!
We demand a point by point evacuation plan in case of:
1. Volcano
2. Tornado
3. Hurricane
4. Flood
5. Alien Invasion
Are you listening creators!!!!! Address our concerns.

Actually, yes, it has been done before--quite well, in fact! One of the most popular examples is Art of the Heist, a game by GMD Studios advertising the new Audi A3, there were numerous live events. In some events, players went to live locations, went into pre-specified cars, and took memory cards. In other events, they met with the characters in real-time and played through various story events.
The more you know...
Of course, it's important to note that every player involved had to sign waivers before participating, and no minors were permitted to participate in these live events.
Then again, this is Audi we're talking about, not LG15.

I'd be very surprised if the Creators allow the involvement of anyone under the age of 18 without parental accompaniment. I'm sure with the legal background, liability is forefront in their minds. Also, with the addition of Jan Libby, and experienced ARGer, I've gotta believe they have thought this through and taken the necessary precautions.
Bring ID.
EDIT TO ADD: Age requirement or parent/guardian accompaniment has now been confirmed.
