Mmm. Yes. Quite. It's annoying when people repost things others have said before. Especially stupid jokes. It was funny for a few seconds though. ^_^iamcool wrote:i was bored and wanted to get my post count up ... problem?ravensgrace wrote:So, why did you post it, again? What ever happened to that girl BA?
BA Tells Lies.
Some things are secret for a reason.
There are people whose lives are dedicated to keeping them that way.

No, but some of the more, um, *passionate* ones keep plenty of Joseph Smith memorabilia around and freak out when someone tries to drink a Coke.Absynth wrote:wow. misguided much... how many mormons do you know who have an altar to Crowley in their room and freak out when someone tries to light the ceremonial altar candles??

Re: OMG STOP THINKING BREE IS LDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Correct. Mormons are heterodox (unorthodox) Christians, and only moderately heterodox at that. More toward the orthodox end we have the Seventh-Day Adventists, who are now widely accepted, and more toward the heretical end, the Jehovah's Witnesses and - my personal favorites - the Unitarians (UU Christians and Spongites) and Unity.bethy wrote:It's a whole lot simpler than that.
Bree isn't Christian. That excludes Mormons, too. End of story.
Yes...there are many misinformed people who say Mormons aren't Christians. But, that's simply not the case.

Actually, they see themselves as more "orthodox" than one would think. Although, I mean "orthodox" in the strict sense of the word.
Mormons have a totally different take on the foundation of Christianity, and really can't be compared to the modern, more widely accepted version. They don't see themseleves as a break off of any particular Christian church...but they follow the original as Christ set it up when he was alive. They believe the authority was taken away because of apostasy, and later restored. There's a big misconception, though, that they believe there was a total apostasy. That's not true....their position was that the Priesthood Authority...the authority to act on God's behalf was removed, and while the Catholics claim to have had an unbroken apostolic histsory...it's not the same.
They believe that one can lose the authority simply through immoral behavior, and while some people were still "going through the motions" as it were, they didn't have the full ahtority. It also doesn't mean there weren't good, decent Christaians in the world either. That's why, they say, the ancient Church had so many struggles and oft changed history in it's favor....becuase they didn't have the full divine guidance.
So, they call themselves the "restored church" and it's based on the Church Christ set up....and not what some of the Apostles did after his death.

no, she could be some form of older mormonism. when mormonism first came about, they were trying to make their own language, and actually had a lot of ties to old egypt type ceremonies. and also, there are break-offs from the LDS church (FLDS etc) that are a lot more fundamentalist crazy.
there's also some ties between mormonism and free masonry.
so Bree could be some form of mormonism.
(i live in UT among the mormons with mormon family, i know about this stuff)
