I worked at a dept store a few years back.. and someone asked why the "older" customers were so moody ... One of the cashiers replied:

They are cranky cuz they didnt get their mashed nanners.

It made me laugh uncontrollably. just the wording.. mashed nanners... buahahaahaha

My guess is that it refers to something that could be easily utilized in a mashup, or is open source so that people can use them for mashups. A mashup is taking seperate things and making an whole out them. The most famous mashup so far was done by DJ Danger Mouse who took the music from the Beatles' White Album, the lyrics from Jay-Z's Black Album and put them together to make the Grey Album. Of course, lawsuits cascaded from the heavens with a quickness.

And that's how you get back on topic :smt023
