Oh, was that where he bashed the woman's face in with a phallic-looking statue?
in-out in-out :D

That scene with the phallic statue is not a sex scene.
There's another one where they rape a woman and beat her housband while singin "Singing in The Rain"

(btw, what do you see if you look very closely at my avatar?)
I posted in another thread that your avatar was cool. It's Bree's bedroom; that's why I posted it was cool. Is your bedroom actually like that now?

Oh, and I remember that scene now.

yeah, I think it's all trying to point out mind-control.

Possibly. But those also have potential explanations that lie elsewhere (for instance, you yourself have pointed out the connection between Crowley and the name "Alex").

I'm just saying that I don't see how there's enough to go on to call that scene back then a reference to Clockwork.
Beside the Alexander being Crowley's real name, I pointed out the A Lex = No Law / Free will, who's a refrence to both A Clockwork Orange and Crowly.

But you're actually right, putting a little too much into things here, but it's sooo fun :D

And the milk in the milkbar in a clockwork orange, was full of drugs. Maybe Daniel had some milk to his cookies when he was with the order. :P

aaaaaaaand the whole thing with being betrayed
It's kind of awesome how much you've found to connect the two. But honestly, when I brought up Clockwork I wasn't expecting to be taken seriously. I really don't see anything concrete connecting it. But if you find much more, you actually might convince me! lol

Just wanted to point out, in the book, Alex actually beat the cat woman with a bust of Ludwig Van, not a phallic statue.

Well, since Jonas put edited this video, I don't think that the song is just an after thought. Jonas is a huge movie fan so I think he purposely put that in. Whether he's working with the order and he knows what will happen, or he is speculating what will happen.

you knoooow at first i thought that the vid was posted by a brainwashed daniel..
like the fur elise makes him all brain washed while auntie alex does some talking.

but i guess if it's jonas that added that in...
maybe it's almost like a sad farewell to his aunt.. b/c you know.. your close relative is suddenly your closest enemy that had something to do with your parents disappearing.

i donno much about the movie references but i think this music is too popular to narrow it down to one pop-culture reference. perhaps a stab into the original believed context may work better?
(altho i dont see anything that has to do with unrequited love and intending to marry but being left for someone else)

Very, very, good point. However, wouldn't it be bizarre for him speculate violence, if he doesn't know anything about the Order? It's almost like wishing it to happen, right? I mean, predicting violence when you could be predicting an escape?

Ahh, well perhaps his Aunt and the scrapbook just creeped him out.

Wow, I just had a weird thought. People in Hollywood use bluescreens to basically superimpose things on one another (and to create computer-generated images). If someone had the skills and equipment to do that, they could basically create anything they wanted to; and we don't know what kind of pictures and/or audio they may obtained from Daniel while they had him all "spin arted".

Well... I think if there is any foreshadowing here, the creators were foreshadowing not Jonas. Jonas may have chosen this song because it is a pretty intense song and it worked well for this intense video.

I just had a burst of sudden enlightenment. The music was first playing BEFORE Daniel and Jonas went outside. Perhaps it was a CD (that Alex played to trigger Daniel), and Daniel helped edit the vid, and the song is now swirling around in his brainwashed mind, so he added it to the vid?

The song has also foreshadowed killing sprees in some movies, dorami.

Ahh. My eyesight's not too good; I saw the word "Orange", but not the word "Clockwork". So you have thought Clockwork was referenced since...how long?

Evil orange slurpee, anyone?

Lurker wrote:So long as we're bringing up random uses of the name "Alex" that may or may not be related to LG15 (and I think we can all agree that some of these don't), I'll repeat my post from the thread for "Alex is..." in the The Videos section:
I wrote:That reminds me. Some of us have noticed quite a few similarities between LG15 and stuff written by Brian K. Vaughan. Specifically "Y: The Last Man" and "Runaways."

I'm about to give away an important part of the first "Runaways" arc, so if you don't want to know, don't look:

One of the main characters in "Runaways" is named "Alex." He turns out to have been loyal all along to the Order-like organization (The Pride) which his and the other kids' parents run.
Considering the Op references to this comic, I would put my money on THIS reason for her name.
