you're scared of the most "innocent" horror movie, but you're not scared of a talking pig's head on a stick?

  Yeah, but the pig doesn't scare me. She's just a metaphor.
Horror films are scary for the sake of frightening people. They're mindless, and violent, and creepy, and disturbing.

not all horror movies are mindless and violent

  Give me an example of one that isn't.

Sorry honey, it was given the rating it has because of "disturbing violence and terror" and there's no depth to the plot, making it mindless entertainment.

there's only one violent scene in the whole movie, and i dont find it disturbing

and pretty much every movie now has at least one violent movie (even lion king

 )

I think it's because you've watched so many violent movies that you've just become numb to all the violence.
And there is a major difference between violence in the Lion King, and violence in some of the movies you watch.

c'mon! when i was a kid i was shocked!

and i'm not numb to violence, i'm numb to pretty much anything (on screen of course, if something happens to someone i care about, you wont see me numb, you'll see me acting (not the actor acting))

When I was little, the only movie that scared me was ET. I'm still freaked out by that movie. I can't even watch it.
