Comics or films?Particular wrote:(Totally unrelated, i know, but X men rock my socks!)
By the way, does anyone else remember how much flack Jules was getting before she got kidnapped/rescued? I hope none of the people who were demanding her death in horrid fashion are among those angry about the kidnapping. It's kind of funny how this has turned out.
Just imagine, though, if those asking had gotten their wish. The forum would look like a bomb hit it. I was one of like three posters offended that people were suggesting she die, yet I'm among those most okay with the kidnapping (obviously, though, that's because they're trying to help her).

They're better than the movies. At least, they're better than that damn third movie.
I own several beautiful editions of the Uncanny X-men issues. *happy sigh* I think I'll go read them right now....

Anyway, yeah, Particular, there's some really good stories in the comics. The movies obviously have things going for them that the comics don't (music and dramatic camera movements), but the comics have ... well, they have Gambit and Chris Claremont's writing (referring to his writing prior to X-Men #100, mind you).

I agree that "Crystal Ship" is the most relaxing, but I don't really want to be relaxed when listening to The Doors.Particular wrote:Fave song? I love all of them, but The Crystal Ship is my relaxing song.
I like "Love Her Madly" and "People Are Strange".

Phoenix Saga. Definitely. That's why the third movie pissed me off so much. They completely ruined my favorite story arc of the comics. I loved how it went in that whole cycle from Marvel Girl to Phoenix to Black Queen (or whatever it was...can't quite remember) to Dark Phoenix. Like that cycle of birth and death and destruction. It was just amazing couple of issues. Really powerful stuff.Lurker wrote: What's your favorite storyline?
