Haha... I'm at school... poo, we still haven't gotten it yet?

What do we have so far? Or is it all pretty much being disputed?

sc wrote:truly, i am trying, but everytime i come up with an "OOH! That's it!" word, the rest is crap, and i feel like an a-hole

I'm almost positive it must be praise and phrase. I really am.
i just cant get the first part of either line.

yeah, give me a poem and i can analyze the crap out of it. words in the wrong order? i'm your (wo)man. anagram something small on paper? faster than lightening! bigass phrases using the internet? i'm screwed.

not that it matters that i can analyze poetry and prose, she doesn't care if we really understand the meaning anyway!

EDIT: *sigh* alright, gimme the lines again, praise in the first, phrase in the second, you say?

mLe wrote:WE ARE NEVER GOING TO GET THIS.

Since i decided line 3 would end in praise, obviously line 4 must rhyme, so i thought it could rhyme in phrase. I think 'i cut the phrase' works well, considering what we've been doing (divide the line). ugh. Unfortunately the first half is not working at all.
Line 3:SILENCED INFO / DOES COST PRAISE

Line 4: DECODECTMETMYCONNECT / I CUT THE PHRASE

Words that can come out of the first half: decode, connect, connected, concede, comment, need ...

Please, someone else give this a try :)
Other words I pulled: conned, toy, meet, net, man

Wait a minute... I'm confused, is this still WHERE we're working on? WHY is up... did we get WHERE?

sorry, can i get a summary of what we think we have so far?

we got WHERE after we got WHY
a few of us pounced on WHY early this morning and got it finished.

WHERE has proven elusive, however.
and we even had CU_ROI on standby

This is what was proposed:

1. Inside the gate you will defend
2. the doe-eyed moppet’s only friend
3. The picture has not yet commenced
4. i tossed a corpse in soil fenced (??? - this is what we need to work on)
5. The garden where the killer wined
6. Still holds the cup for you to find

Since 4. was not working for everyone else, i tried a different route.
I made line 3: SILENCED INFO / DOES COST PRAISE
and line 4: CONCEDE TEN TOM MY | I CUT THE PHRASE

I tried these for two reasons: 1. no one could rhyme anything but fenced with commenced. 2. the 'divide the line' thing doesn't work on the proposed two lines. If you divide the line, the most obvious words on the end, end in ase or iase - hence phrase and praise.

As for anagram computer programs, i haven't been using them, they just confuse me. I put it in a blank word doc and rearange letters on either side of the line.

edit: obviously i have no idea if this will end up working but the 'ence' endings were getting people stuck too. :( I have to go to work, and cannot keep trying to figure these things out. Hopefully you will all have it solved when i get home tonight! luck!

Dunneh wrote:Okay correction, sorry for initial typos:

1DEED IF NULL YOW | A ED GEE HI STINT
YOU WILL DEFEND | INSIDE THE GATE
Inside the gate you will defend

2 ED FIR NYLON | DEED SEETHE MOP TYPO.
ONLY FRIEND | THE DOE EYED MOPPETS
The doe eyed moppets only friend - ?

3 CONCEDE TEN TOM MY | A TETCHIER PUSH,
NOT YET COMMENCED | THE PICTURE HAS
The picture has not yet commenced

4 CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
IN SOIL FENCED | I TOSSED A CORPSE
I tossed a corpse in soil fenced ???

5 ED HEEL KILN WRIT | A ED ERG HEN THREW5
THE KILLER WINED | THE GARDEN WHERE
The garden where the killer wined

6 DOFF ION YO RUT | HITCHED POLLS SLUT.
FOR YOU TO FIND | STILL HOLDS THE CUP
Still holds the cup for you to find

So, 4 and possibly 2, 3 are iffy.

EDIT: I agree that moppet is the best thing so far, it makes the most sense. I just think something is off about it. I'm not sure about it. But it fits in syllable wise which may be why its there.

2ND EDIT: Also, I'm not sure where the line divisions fall, I've just divided them where the possible solutions did.
This is the last time someone posted what we think it is...I believe 4 and possibly 3 are the questionable parts.

you mean setting one up  or searching one out?

Noted. Is there a team ready? Cu_Roi will likely go out on his own, but I think we should have a secondary team semi-established.

I know Nilla is available as well.

f**k... okay explain the divide the line in half, thing... does that mean every line she's ever done so far has been able to be anagrammed first half exclusive, second half exclusive??!?!? How have i MISSED that!!!

I think more than just Cu_Roi should go, definitely. We don't know what we're getting into and personally I was sort of freaked out when Frank was talking about his rifle being clean... We should assemble a team. Oh man, I wish I lived in LA so I could go...

yup.

however, it's never a distinct separation point in the line.

2 rules.
1. split the line, move 2nd half to front
2. iambic - da da da da da da da da
