Hans Bellmer, he was a surrealist, yes he was German and fled the Nazis to France. I don't know about the other part of the story about his cousin, that sounds pretty weird, but who knows as you said artists are pretty disturbed people.

I wonder if that will be deleted. I think art people are insane becuase all you ever really do is examine your own hang-ups and everyone elses. The ones who aren't totally wacked out of their minds are usually hacks. Well...personally, I find most "artists" to be huge hacks anyway. Kind of sad. That's why I quit. I got really grossed out with the whole "scene" and all the total pricks involved in it.

Yea I know what you mean, I used to be engrossed in art, I worked where artists worked, hung out with "artists", read what artists read etc. etc..

It is harder for me to see the importance of art now, but I kind of miss having something that means that much to me.

No...I'm sure I've seen worse. Yeah..I do miss how much I loved that whole world, but I feel like I can't go back now. Maybe it's a temp. situation. Who knows.
