I've long been of the opinion that Bree is genetically engineered utilizing the DNA of some historic figure or some genetically altered DNA that makes her different from other humans. Many girls may have been engineered the same way yet only one seems to have whatever trait the Order is looking for. Hence, Bree is the chosen one. No girl can take her place despite what the Order would have us believe.
