There's a bit of ice everywhere, and my Jeep doors were frozen shut this morning, but it's not too horrible right now. How 'bout out there?

My husband got up at 530 to dig out the car and end of the driveway. A lot of snow and it sleeted for, oh...7 hours...so the roads are straight ice. Our county and most around here have declared a state of emergency...emergency vehicles and people going to work, only. Figures. Wouldn't there be less emergencies id people didn't have to drive on this? Most businesses ARE closed, not all. Not mine. But, hey...it stopped snowing.

Lucky you... It's still snowing a little bit here. My county is under a level 1 snow emergency, which means basically nothing. Then there's level 2, which means "don't drive unless you're crazy (or you have to)" and finally, there's level 3 which means "don't drive unless you want a ticket, or are driving an emergency vehicle."

Well, it's stopped snowing "for now"...supposed to pretty well snow off and on through Saturday. Yeah, it must be level one, here. Don't go out unless you are an emergency vehicle or you work for jerks who won't close. I think my driveway is a Level 4 snow emergency on its own. All the drifing, oi.

Heh... At 8:30, I thought we must have closed without anyone telling me, 'cause no one showed up  But out operations manager made it in about 5 minutes ago and said that everyone was calling his cell all morning to find out if we were open, and to tell him they'd be late if so.

I'm suprised I wasn't late..but we left so early. Went about 20 the whole way. Took about a half hour to do a drive that is usually 7 minutes, lol. I see more people coming in now that it's daylight and the trucks have had more time to work on things. The ice is the big problem, mainly...and stupid drivers, lol.

Stupid drivers are a problem even *before* the weather gets bad  My drive in took about 15 minutes... Usually takes half that. The back roads are icy, but they're not well traveled yet, so the ice isn't very smooth. It was almost like off-roading my way to work.

They cancelled school last night, I've had to cancel class for tonight and I'm right on the 12-18/18-30 line for snowfall.

Winter makes me very cranky.

(but I love 'mute :D )

Sorry to hear about the canceled classes. Today, OSU is closed. I don't think I've ever seen them close OSU before. It's rare enough to see the Lancaster branch of Ohio University close.

I kinda wish work would close today. I'm not getting my 8 hours of overtime this week anyhow because of doctor's appointments, so I'd rather go back home and snuggle up with the wife all day :)
