Oops.. I just read there can only be one infiltrator spy. I would also like to be made an exception. Otherwise, it will harder for me to play a character. :(

I could NOT be a spy, but just secretly with the resistance, but not teaching the resistance but the Order catechism instead. Would that be OK? I could occasionally leak secret information to Ms. Smith.

Lyra:
Carefully skirts around the other teachers and students not talking to anyone and makes her way to her dorm room in building 1.

She pushes the door open to room #3 and sets her stuff down on the bed on the left. Her roommate isn't there yet, but she can hear Madison and Rose talking in the room next door.

Evan that's very cool. You'll do a great job with your character. PM me and we'll talk.

*Ahem!* (steps into character)

Ms. Divine: I am preparing my lesson plans for the school year. Along with this, I am outlining the class rules. I am teaching literature and this class is compulsory for all students. Soon, I will post the first required reading material. We will begin by reading a short article related to the Hymn of One and it's relevance to our lives. Make sure you have a composition book and a #2 pencil.

Class Rules:

(1) Treat one another with respect and kindness.
(2) Complete all assignments on time or lose one letter grade.
(3) Use insight and thoughtfulness when responding to questions.
(4) Have a good time in the process!

Literature will be presented a paragraph at a time with pause for reflection.

Assignment #1

The Hymn of One has a long tradition in our society. It is the most ancient of all religions, because all religions are essentially one. They originate from the same source, which is love. However, each of us has our own unique and original song. We may discover our song through listening within from a calm and centered place. Each person’s song is different. When directly shared with another, it loses its sacred value. Therefore, we listen to our own inner music and dance to our own drummers. To find our own song is to find our own peace. However, all of our music stems from the same single source that unites us.

To Do: Center yourself and listen within to find your own song. Can you hear it? Do not share the actual music, but share with the group how it feels when you hear your own personal yet universal song playing within your soul. What does this experience mean to you?

Deadline: Wednesday, June 6

Assignment #2

Provide a link to an article about Denderah or ancient Egypt. You must read these articles thoroughly and provide a synopsis that relates directly to the Hymn of One.

Deadline: Friday, June 8

Evan: [Cocks his head to the side slightly, brow furrowing, and then he speaks without raising his hand.] "Actually, I'm pretty sure there were hunter-gatherer societies that worshiped concepts before there was even a spoken language. And what about ancient religions that aren't all about love? The Greek pantheon, the Olympians, were all about individualism and the rights of the one, whereas the ancient Egyptians were far more into the rights of the community rather than individualism. The Norse pantheon is kind of both, so..."
