donthaveaclue,

I know it is fiction, and trust me the last thing i want is the story to go down the narrative lines that exist in my own interpretation of the story. I want to be surprised and intrigued, and see a new spin, a new take on storytelling emerge.

I respect your opinion, but seriously? You're happy with this? this generic 'Order'? The creators have fueled our speculation for months now with hints of religon and such and you can't say they haven't...

They have built this series on things rooted in reality, and led us to believe that there were clues that we could research. Why include Crowley? By your way of thinking surely they should have included some fictional Billy McBadguy as the inspiration for this 'Order'. And why, for the love of god, did they put Thelema and The Unicursal Hexagram on the front page of this THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE?. This forum and community was in the early days largely built on the research of clues planted BY THE CREATORS... If you think it is not a backtrack from them I wonder if you have been watching the same series as me.

Seriously recently theres more bad than good since daniel's breaking and entering video. I thought that 'on the run' was a welcome return to form.....Perhaps the best video yet. I was looking forward to seeing how all the clues that have been laid would fit together....but i just don't think we're gonna get it.

Look I don't want to get into an argument about this, and appreciate that some people might see this as a welcome plot turn, but sorry I don't. Thats my opinion. And after all isn't that what these forums are for? Expressing our opinions?

Well, that was interesting. I'm glad Gemma is going to evidently answer our questions, in a way...shedding light on things we've discussed since the beginning.

Ah....well, naaaaaah of course not, I'm not happy with this video. Totally useless if you ask me. But I'll wait. I'll give them time to come up with a good one on this without going too fast and spoiling the whole story.

Oh no argument here, I didn't mean my words to be harsh or something. Just writing my thoughts on the whole thing.

lol, good, reading back my posts they do seem a bit overzealous actually lol. i'm the same as you dissapointed but hoping they will explain this in a good way thats benificial to the story.

I dont want their 'vision' of what this story is to be compromised by us or anyone. I'd like to believe that this was planned all along, but i'm finding that really hard...

It's my pet peev to be honest, watching a series then getting the feeling the story has been compromised for some reason.

And I think thats why were all here? for a good story? I just want to see it realised in a satisfying fashion. I... think I trust them?

P.S It actually felt good to have my first real 'vent' on these boards...

So I'm curious...if Bree's parents, who have presumably been in this religion or order for so long, don't seem to know anything about this, why does Gemma know so much? Why does Gemma know so much about this in general? Hmmm...

And to those who were saying Bree's in the Order of Denderah, that's never been said. She said her parents don't know anything about the ceremony because they're not in the Order of Denderah. Bree doesn't know anything about the ceremony either. I assume the Order of Denderah is a part of this Order...although that is going to cause some confusion...The Order of Denderah of The Order...

Anyone get the feeling that the creators are just starting to throw crap together all willy nilly? Give us an answer that only brings about more questions. (wait, maybe it really is a spin off of Lost, lol  )

The more convoluted this storyline gets, the less I'm beginning to buy it.

Has anyone thought that maybe the religion is Thelema, but the Order is a secrete branch?

As I stated before, alot of religions and cults often have members who don't like the way the belief system is, so they go and form their own society with some base of off the original beliefs. This may be why Bree's parent's were not part of the Order.

I also think that Gemma DOES know more about this than Bree. Relax and let her tell us what she knows.

Didn't Gemma actually state that it's not Thelema, though?

Yes, but like I said, religions often branch off. The "religion" that Bree and her parents were in could still be Thelema, but the people that chose Bree for the ceremony could be The Order. Maybe 2 completely different things. Bree did state that her parents weren't in the Order. Also, the ceremony is so secretive.

Just some random thoughts running through my head........

I'd pretty much bet a floppityjillion dollars that whatever religion/order Bree and the rest of these people belong to will not be a real, practiced religion. The creators are not going to want to piss anybody off or alienate viewers by getting facts about a real religion wrong.

Either completely made up with shades of reality (like Crowley, etc) or based on an ancient order that is no longer in business.

Bree stated her parents aren't in the Order of Denderah. But they're clearly a part of the religion/cult/whatever. It seems to me the Order of Denderah is a part of this thing, a part of the Order? Or you could be right, they could be linked, and the Order draws from followers of whatever religion...

I completely agree with this...and it's also a good reason why SO MANY ideas people have had trying to pin down the religion sound so reasonable...because bits were probably taken from them.

All this meaningless conjecture! It's blatantly obvious that she's in Radio Orphan Annie's Secret Society.
