It's not a fight. It's a discussion.eucebo wrote:This is a stupid fight.
Her name is Bree. Period.
I guess 'just' Bree is the most solid theory. But you know us, looking deeply into thing =) And that's what's fun with this forum... Discussiong all kinds of theorieseucebo wrote:This is a stupid fight.

I think I have. No one has been able to demonstrate any intention on the part of the Creators to have biblical names. And I have demonstrated clearly that there are more non biblical names than biblical names.consideration wrote:I'm not sure why everyone is insisting on Gabriella when it could also just be Gabrielle. I don't know anyone named Gabriella, but I'm close friends with one Gabrielle (nickname-Gabby) and I know of a few others.
That's even closer to Gabriel, which is Biblical if you're going for that angle. (And btw, Misty, you haven't debunked anything.)
Yeah this makes sense, Jonas, Daniel, and Gemma are all real names, not nicknames, so it would make sense that Bree is too... On the other hand Alex is a nickname.imogene2004 wrote:IMaybe her name is just Bree. I've known a few girls whose names were actually just Bree and it wasn't short for anything.

I think I have.
No one is imposing anything. And just because the series isn't Biblical doesn't mean that the names couldn't be Biblical.Misty wrote:So lets get past trying to impose biblical shit on this, clearly non-bibblical series.
Well the name Daniel is biblical, but I doubt that the creators chose that name because it's in the bible.consideration wrote:No one is imposing anything. 1. I'm not getting offended. Are you??consideration wrote:It's just an interesting theory. Stop getting so offended. You started the thread.
Personally, I just think they chose names they liked.
No. You just seem rather up in arms in quite a few of your posts.Misty wrote:1. I'm not getting offended. Are you??
...I don't know. For some reason I thought you did. Sorry, that was silly of me.Misty wrote:2. I didn't start this thread, where the f**k did you get that idea?
Wtf? There are a fair many more Godly religions in Paganism than their are of Demon worship.Misty wrote:Why do you think it has to be biblical??? Bree's family are satanist or occultist of some kind, not jews or christians. That's why i think it's probably Sabrina. I know 3 girls named Sabrina, all 3 who's families are into wicca/occult/satanism type stuff. Oh and the all are somtimes called breeChristie91 wrote:Someone has said that xDVintage_Angel wrote:Breanna
Surprised no one said that since Bree is a nickname for it.
I think its short for Gabriella or Gabrielle personally as it has more biblical references
Gabriella is an alternative female name for Gabriel. It will still be attributed to the biblical character.Misty wrote:Oh, yeah? which ones?Christie91 wrote:some of the names can be a varient of names that are mentioned in the bible.
WTF does "asssociated with the bible mean"? There's NO Gabriella in the Bible!!! There was a a Gabriella on TV show Xena Warrior Princess, (and and a Jonas, and they even had monkeys), so maybe there's a Xena themeChristie91 wrote:Also, there is Gabriella which is a girls name and can be assosciated with the bible.
Because the point is that it is supposed to make you guess? It isn't going to be sure fire, front page news that her name comes from that one in the bible?Misty wrote:Actually according to my dad who went to bible college the name Gabriel means "God is my strength", and that hebrew names are not made feninine by adding an a to the end. He said that gabriella in hebrew would be meaningless.Sami wrote:you should do some reasearch. If you google 'name gabriella meaning' there will be alot of hits.
check this sites: http://babyparenting.about.com/cs/getti ... riella.htm ->"Meaning: Woman of God"
http://www.andythenamebender.com/name-m ... briela.htm -> Meaning: God's able-bodied one. Feminine of Gabriel.
http://www.mybirthcare.com/favorites/pg ... ames-g.asp ->God gives strength.
On every site I looked at, there was a refrence to God, the bible and Gabriel, AND Gabriella was considerd a bibical name.
The connection between Gabriella and the bible is NOT WEAK.
But of course I wouldn't expect the creators, to know that, so maybe they would have considered Gabriella to be sort of a biblical. But with all the real biblical names, that can actuallly be found in the bible like Ruth, Sarah, Rebecca, Tamar, Deborah, Huldah, Judith, Esther, Priscilla, Lydia, Phoebe, Eve, Rachel, Elizabeth, Jezabell, Naomi, Tabitha or Martha; Why would they choose a sort of biblical sounding name rather than a real bible name? And even if they really thought Gabriella was a real bible name, they probably would thnk of Gabby not Bree, as nickname for Gabriella. So everything I said before still applies.
I don't know....I mean how many people do you know with von in their name?ApotheosisAZ wrote:Well, names are important. Bree is probably a condensed version of:
