On the second picture in the bottom right hand corner there is a skull. And the center image in both pictures appears to be the full moon or a different planet to me...
it just came to my mind that maybe the symbols were put on top of the pictures on purpose. Maybe the man is a watcher?

I think what needs to be done is a little bit of layer disolvement... or whatever the real term is..... After really looking at the picutres... it looks as though there is a scene or scenes underneath of them.
The center looks like a circle.... possibly the sun, trees along the right hand side and a rose to the left above the bottom left hand symbol.
Tree branches in the top right hand corner, the face in the bottom right nand corner, a face to the right of the upper left hand symbol and a rose above the bottom left hand symbol.
Hopefully this helps... a little.

the man in the picture looks like Shakespeare, you know from the old books and stuff. It looks like a moon in the center and it looks like a Nancy Drew book cover on the left side....i will try photoshop i do a lot of digital altering...

If you "sharpen" AMALGAMATION.jpg using a tool like Irfanview, a round symbol with a dot in the center and two legs pops up in the lower right corner - exactly in the same place as the same symbol in the foreground in LIGATURES.jpg
I'm not sure what this means, but it does encourage the idea that one image might be filtered with the other somehow.

I found a skull in one of the pictures and circled it
i think i speak for everyone when i say we have just crapped our collective pants...
btw, for some reason, the shading of the paper... if we're going with a picture here... it reminds me of looking at a statue. a stone statue like the ones in egypt, sorta cause they have sorta rounded edges and other stone statues (i.e. greek), their surfaces are way too smooth; looks like a more porous statue, and egyptian is the only comparison i can come up with.

Played with the same picture again and found another symbol embedded on top of the skull....

in this pic, near the upper right, it looks like mountains and a tilted view of a man.
maybe altered screen shots of past webisodes?
edit; omg. I'm gonna quote another post to help prove my possible point

some of these DO match webisodes! the swimming hole, someone in a hat like bree's safari hat, it's likely they've shown trees b4 in the sunshine (the first post when they go on the run for the first time? first?
lol)
:makin herself a bit scared: CREEPY!
btw, the skull may or may NOT be bad. now i know what you're thinking: "what are you talking about, you insane hottie??"
<.<...... >.>.....
you're thinking those exact words; i know you are....
LOL in the Renaissance and in Greek and Roman times, a meditative tool was a skull so they could meditate upon their own mortality. it wasn't a death wish or an ill omen; it was to keep them level.

I'm thinking they made LIGATURES first, then kept the same background and just placed a new layer on top of it (without removing the symbols from LIGATURES) to create ALMAGAMATIONS.
I doubt there's anything special to be found there, but that's just me. Good luck to those who try.

They're obviously layered considering their design. I was just saying I don't think there's anything special to be found under them. To me I just see a cool sepia background with random blotches of rust or a blood-like substance.
I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from picking them apart if they're interested. I was just saying that with what was discovered under the top of AMALGAMATIONS (LIGATURES, apparently), I doubt the PM expected or intended for these images to be dissected.
