So you've started classes?
Get a cheap Garmin. The basic model is called a "Legend" and it doesn't have many features, but I love mine (especially because it's bright yellow and is easy to find when I drop it in the woods
) It does everything you need for geocaching... Plus, I bought a data cable and can hook it to my notebook, which has mapping software. I'm never lost when I'm on vacation
Yup. I started yesterday. Database management, my second C programming class, and finally taking my freshmen English a year late... I love to write, but hate feeling forced to, which is why I've drug my feet on taking this class...

I wont be on too much anymore anyways (atleast during the morning/afternoon)--I start work tomorrow!
That's too bad about not being on as much, but I bet the extra income will be nice. What are you going to be doing? I only ask because the only time I'm on the forum is when I'm at work

Seeing as the only income I got was from the BF...yeah, it'll be pretty dang nice.
My aunt taught herself to make cakes as a kid and ended up turning it into a business--regular cakes, weddings, cupcakes, pastries..that sort of stuff. Well she's grown so successful that she had to open a new shop and I'm gonna be running it for her. Truth be told, it'll be the easiest job in the world, I'll be working with friends and family, AND I'll be getting payed for it. It's nothing permanent, but I wanna atleast stay with her for a year or two just to get it up and going.
Once her website is up, we'll have internet access at work, so that will be nice. You silly people, I cant seem to quit you.

That sounds very cool. Are you going to be doing any of the baking or more of the ordering/paperwork side? I was a bakery/restaurant manager for 5 years. It wasn't bad (but food service can certainly be stressful at times
) I hope you enjoy it Miragey!

Both, most likely...the only thing I really cant handle are the finances--numbers make me go insane.
I'm also gonna be doing stuff like "Decorating Nights" for the kids and whatnot.
I hear ya on the stressful part--I did catering at one point, and it wasn't the best experience of my life.
But I think that had a lot to do with the customers and expectations (it was high level business types) more than anything. Hopefully working with people about their HAPPY occasions will work out nicer.
Thanks though! Like I said, it'll be with family and that should be fun. Only problem will be not eating the sweets all day.

Dang, my birthday was on the 3rd and I didn't even think of that.
Maybe I'll ask her to do a small one for the season finale and have a Petrellicest picture on it.

Maybe you'll end up having to do it yourself (as you'll be working there now)!

You should get her to teach you how to do it so then you can have a Heroes cake whenever you want!

Like I could ever do the work she could.
Hell, if anything I did was half as good as hers I wouldn't want to eat it--I'd wanna save it to brag about it.
I haven't decorated a cake in a couple of years, so it'll be interesting to see how much I can remember.
