EDIT: I'm beginning to notice there are a lot of audio clues here.

I hear "Help me" too, but it sounds more like "Help m-" like she got off.

Why?

Maybe the book itself is not part of the clue? She obscured the title to say this isn't important. Most of the clues you guys have sussed out so far are from audio. That could also explain why the text in the book is illegible.
