Yeah, the sushi does look really out of place on that list... Though it'd probably look out of place on a lot of lists...
I'll keep all of that in mind, though.
hmm.. that sounds good.. I will have to try one sometime.. Do they serve it in Japanese restaurants?kageyuki wrote:Taiyaki is another Japanese pastry... Not sure how to explain the "crust" really, but it is filled with sweet red bean paste and usually served hot. You see them being sold from vending carts along with other sorts of sweet breads all over Japan.Cuddlebunni wrote:Taiyaki? Whats that?kageyuki wrote:Yeah. I like mochi. Why, do you have some?Cuddlebunni wrote:Hey Kage... do you like Mochis?
I should have you try something called taiyaki.
And I have like 3 boxes of mochi in my freezer. I loooove them.
They're usually shaped like fish. Though why this is, I forgot.
Can I come over and have some mochi?
I'll bring some taiyaki for you. LOL
Not really, though they might have it if you ask for it... It's mainly a "street food" Kinda like pretzels and hot dogs are, here in the States.bunni-chan wrote:hmm.. that sounds good.. I will have to try one sometime.. Do they serve it in Japanese restaurants?

I can't say that I'd even heard of them, before, but I like pickles!Chisa-sama wrote:You've never had fried pickles?
They serve them everywhere here... but I guess the only place that is a large chain in Hooters.... or Razoos.
