They were the babies from a pregnant stray cat that showed up at my parents' house. The mom was polydactyl (multiple toes beyond normal amount). She had 5 kittens, 4 of which were also polydactyl! It is a relatively common mutation among American shorthair cats in New England!

I love it! They are fun and they can do all sorts of things like open doors, etc.

Gypsy, as to what BK is saying..

He wrote me today asking me to clarify points. So, I did. He has to run some of these changes through other channels for approval. Mainly, he wanted me to clarify things like *how we are different from "off the cuff," *why the heck we need a new name, and *Why do I want the topics to be neater if I like a more lax, free-flowing atmosphere? What is the purpose of this? Etc. Etc.

We've been writing books, BK and myself..

Sometimes, when someone asks me a question, I answer with every little detail. I'm very, very thorough. I didn't need to put all that info in my answer to Elendi, for example.

I could have just said, "Thanks," like Jess did. Part of this is my Asperger's Syndrome!

I'm dreaming of a redhead Jess, just like the one I used to know ( on lonelygirl 15) Where the lonelycrakers glisten and
defense force listen.
To hear Jess voice in the snow..

Heather, I had a cat who could open doors. I've had more than one who could, in fact. None of them were polydactyl, though.

I had a tiny kitten who loved his flying birdie toy so much that when he watched me wrap it up and put it on the top floor of the bathroom closet and shut the door and leave, he managed to open that door, climb to the top, put the "fishing rod" type stick in his mouth and run under the couch with it.

SMART KITTY!!!
