My mom's first tandem she told the tandem master that if she froze, she wants to go anyway and her instructor said "Don't worry, if you tell me now you want to go out, I'll get you out." My mom didn't freeze though. She was absolutely awesome. She was scared and she did it. I still tear up when I watch her vids. Same with my dad. He had a triple bypass and had some trouble so when he jumped, I was just bursting with pride and respect for him!

I'll get them up on You Tube pretty soon.

Ok, gotta go girlies....buh-bye!

Just trying to "get you started"
Seriously, yes. Not one second do you lose your stomach. You're disoriented for a second then it's like HOLY SH*T, this is awesome!!!

I am scared to death to bungee jump, ride skyrides, and ferris wheels and I do this. :?

Why ya gotta get me goin'??
Why, so I did !
Honestly... I love heights and adrenaline rushes... and have wanted to try sky diving for some time. The oppprtunity has just never arose. So I find your description interesting!

O and you tried sky diving with fears like those?
*sigh* you are so Brave!

It all boils down to control. With skydiving, it's all up to you. You have options, which helps with the fear. You're not just out there with no control, you're completely in control. One of the most important things I've learned is that skydiving is extremely safe and extremely unforgiving. You have a list of things you can do from altitude to the ground, thus the safety part. Don't do those things, and the unforgiving part bites you in the ass. :D

Another thing I learned is never give up. Some people just panic and quit. Another of my favorite sayings is "Don't stop pulling handles 'til your goggles fill with blood."

Oh, and the ferris wheel and skyride thing is that I have no control or options if something breaks, so that's why I hate them.

Luv, I hear ya on the ferris wheel. I loooove rollar coasters, but am often seized with fear of something breaking.

How long have you been diving?

So, the nekkid skydivers just pulled a few too many handles, and their clothes fell off?

LMAO.....I'm guessing they feared the clothes would hamper their ability to find the handles. I bet the guys grabbed the wrong one at least once. More than that, and it's not accident.
