I am a solitary eclectic pagan. My family is a mix between Native American, Irish and German...so we have a nice family history of paganism.
Though I started off considering myself Wiccan, my beliefs and practices moved somewhat beyond that, adding bits from my Native American heritage, and a bit of hoodoo magic. I've also studied a bit of Voudan, though I don't actually practice any of it. It's a facinating religion to me.
So I guess I'm just a mish-mashed pagan.

Cool cool! I was introduced to voudou about 10-11 years ago by Sallie Ann Glassman. I went to her hounfor for a couple of years. I'm now going over to Houngan Catela's. He has no hounfor since the hurricane...

I'm jealous, I haven't gotten to see it, yet. On the other hand, I have the nifty black leather Jackass™ Converse.

I am now a devout catholic, after having spent many years as a practicing asatruar and runester. I had an epiphany two years back that was mind-blowing for me and brought me back to the catholic church. At least I still have this spiffy tattoo.

I would have to say that religion is a very sore subject for me. I was raised Roman Catholic pretty much against my will. I disagreed with so many of the beliefs and practices that going to church always put a bad taste in my mouth. In the process of rebelling against the church/my family/society as a whole, I engaged in some pretty stupid behavior and ended up pregnant and single at 21. I was living in Florida, going to school at the time and my mom came down to go to some Dr's appointments with me. She made me go to church with her and my grandparents and the whole sermon was about how kids of my generation are engaging in premarital sex and having babies out of wedlock that will not be loved or recognized by Jesus Christ or God. I walked out of church in tears and have not really attended mass since. I baptised both of my children to basically shut my crazy Italian grandmother up, but I will never attend mass again. I'm actually jealous of people who have such a deep belief in something and feel the need to go to church every sunday to be closer to their god. I think that there is something out there, I'm just not sure what it can be, or if there even is only one or many different gods and/or goddesses. And finding anyone who is not a christian/catholic in New Hampshire is not exactly an easy thing. So I read up on things and try to discover for myself. Any suggestions?
