I think you have kind of missed a lot here. NO ONE is beign discouraged from going to find anything. What it simply is, is that no one else cares. No too many others have actually jumped on the band wagon and been like... "Well hell... i'll go", and actually went. Not many people here can (not in the area, work, school, etc.) go at the drop of a clue. And others simply don't care and just want someone else to do all the dirty work.ihavenopantson wrote:calling someone an idiot because they arent a fellow Cu Roi brown-noser is very poor form
Im not suspicious of Cu Roi at all, and appreciate his efforts in finding the drops
but, the brown-nosing of the guy makes me sick.
especially when some people talk as if he is the only person qualified to locate a clue, or when someone else is discouraged from going to find a clue because the ARG god himself is already on the way.
Take Nilla for example. She wasn't discouraged from going out to get the first drop, right?

The only discouraging that was done by anyone, was when "idiotic" people felt they could be vigilanties and run off into the park in the middle of the night.
Thats the only time we suggested people not go.
Hell even Frank, bless his dead soul, said it was stupid to go into the park at night.

Don't worry... I'm pretty sure she's in Ohio. How else could she be watching me?spaciegirl wrote:For the love of god, please do not suggest this to her or anyone else. I am quite happy with Cassie "living" far far away.

maybe i'll visit her sometime.
Nah, don't sell what you've found. Keep them as reminders of how much fun you had. And you never know, they could become collectors items and VERY valuable later.Cu_Roi wrote:I wish you could too!theplotthickens wrote:CU Roi is a god or at least a sorcerer. I'm not sure what to do with any of it...seems wrong to sell it for cash. Don't know yet...

Yeah...and calling Cu "the ARG god himself" isn't poor form? Pfftt...whatever. Nobody's brown-nosing Cu_Roi. If it bothers you that much, then maybe you should take time out of your life to fly out to California and find the clues yourself.ihavenopantson wrote:calling someone an idiot because they arent a fellow Cu Roi brown-noser is very poor form

Until then, back off the other people who are defending him to those who are slandering him

It's perfectly logical that Cu, knowing the area, went for it after seeing the first drop. After all, it was there about 3 days before he decided. Being an experienced ARGer, he treated it like a dead drop in any old ARG.
Then when the second drop came about, everyone was looking to him. Other people coordinated with him. Also, keep in mind that this area is not all that far from where the first drop was, relatively speaking.
For the third drop, no one else could go. He has stepped up every time. Also, he had already been there since it was in the same area as the first drop. He knew the territory.
Even if somehow Cu has been in cahoots with the PMs of CiW, which isn't likely, if you can name even a handful of people who 1) live in the area, 2) know the area, 3) are willing to go, 4) are willing to hike 10 miles, 5) are in the shape to do so, 6) are not too creeped out and/or lazy to go, then let me know. Otherwise just sit back and enjoy the ride. Maybe you could even get involved on things that don't involve being in that part of CA.
Btw, I don't think he's overstepped the role of a normal ARGer. I for one have never been involved with an ARG so I chose to sit back and watch, while only occasionally getting involved (and only slightly at that - I got sick of anagrams pretty quick).
My main point is that people should not disrespect him IG or OOG, regardless of his role. It's just uncalled for.
Summary: 1) It's ridiculous to think there's some conspiracy, 2) everything adds up to make his story perfectly logical, 3) it's awesome that he stepped up and he's helped make this saga fun to watch, 4) at the very least he does not deserve the disrespect. (As for the stuff on UF, I don't think he's been insulting. I think his assessments are fair. Even if they weren't, it's not as if he's pretending to be friendly here and then bad-mouthing people behind their backs. Everything is pretty much out in the open as far as I can tell).
Sorry to further clutter the already cluttered boards, but I think this needs to be said.

well, have you tried this yet? I figured that with Cassie's clues-inside-clues style that perhaps there's something else of importance on the painting.SivartAlappes wrote:Cu_Roi... I think you should hold a blacklight to the painting (both front and back) to see if there's any messages written on it in any "invisible" medium.

So are we getting married or not, Chixor. I'm getting impatient and I don't like waiting.
