If he can't swim then that could deffinately come into play later maybe in the climax to the series which I assume will be some sort of face off between Bree and Daniel and the order.
I think that not enough attention is being payed to this Daniel not wanting to get in the water thing. Many of these other theories and clues seem like a stretch to me, but this SWIMMING ISSUE has come up twice now...and it's not the kind of thing that is unintentional or coincidental. The creators have purposely put in the script, two seperate times, that Daniel and water do not mix. If anything is a clue, that definately is.

although right now the mothereffing video isn't working so i have not yet been able to freaking watch it... this crossed my mind a long time ago when she got him wet in the swimming video. i think it's strange that he would take her somewhere with the purpose of swimming, and then just sit and film her swimming by herself. it's kind of cute though, since usually bree is portrayed as the naive, unknowing one. it's a nice little quirk to add in.

and it would be interesting if it came into play later on..

Well, if Daniel dislikes water, maybe he's a WITCH!
Oh, jut kidding.

But I like this theory and think we should pay more attention to it. maybe he's afraid of water - and if he is, why?

In other news, the stuffed friends are all okay.
yea, it's kind of silly to bring them along,
but I'm happy to know they're safe.

You know my purpose of coming into this thread was to see if anyone noticed that swimming was a very big part in this series, and in Cassie and OpAphid (I'm still on my random rant's that they have to be cannon....).
Water is becoming very ... big...
I think we should look into the spiritual side of water. A lot of religions consider water very sacred (As it should be...)
but I'm wondering if there is a darker side to it. It seems to have a negative vibe around it.

There are a lot of assosciations between water and chaos and I know that in some religions and cultures chaos is assosciated with evil, darkness, the devil etc.

If Bree's religion actually existed, I would be researching the significance of water in her belief system. But I think you're right. Aleister Crowley have any thoughts on water? I don't know.
About the negative vibe, definitely. The original "Swimming" video, was pretty creepy. I mean, maybe I only think of it that way because of CiW, but I think I recall being a tad disturbed before that. Bree was talking about her old friend Cassie in a very sad tone, and Daniel couldn't even remember the poor girl. Not to mention Bree was "bashing the brains out" of those bugs. And playfully revealed suspicion that Daniel was going to hack her into little pieces and eat her in the woods... hhmmm.
This might be a stretch, but in the "On The Run" video, Bree washed herself in the bathroom.. presumably using water. That scene was particularly depressing.
We have also noticed water bottles on the shelf under her Aleister Crowley shrine. Again, this could be a stretch, but what could it hurt to consider? The water bottle, as I recall, was in front of the picture to which we have paid very close attention throughout the series. It distorted the people in the photograph. Hm. It was also next to another bottle, about which many have made suggestions as to what it may have been... the pills? lotion? idk.
I can't remember any other mentions of water. In this video, the pool was definitely shot with a negative vibe.. I think the lighting is of dire importance. In this video, the "Swimming" video, and "On The Run" when Bree washes herself, the lighting is particularly dark and almost.. yellow/blue/greenish? Much like water..?

Just some thoughts.

I suppose...if you grew up completely sheltered and with the opinion that your religion is that powerful. We already know she's in the Valencia/Greater LA Basin area...surely she might rationalize that the police force is certain to be bigger than her church. Hell- I'm sure the Scientologists would be more powerful, in terms of civic enforcement, than her dinky Order.

I dunno'.
if they were dinky, how did they get pictures of Daniel and know that he was following them? They must be pretty darn powerful.

Well, water doe play a significant part in Alister Crowley's belief system.
I posted a bit of what I discovered in the plot discussion forum...
I'm going to go searching on Crowley's side now...
but it's probably the same information, seeing these philosphies did influence his system.

chanda wrote:I thought this vid was cute especially when Daniel gave his coat to Bree. It was so funny how he didn't even flinch! But seriously, this vid was informative in that it answered some questions for us. We kinda figured the police were involved in the order (at least I thought I had read someone's post on it) and this has confirmed it. It's kinda scary to think that she has no one to turn to. But I'm with whoever said she acts weird. I thought so too. She's supposed to be 17 now right? She's acting like a child or something. That may be her coping though. I dunno.
she's always acted like a child in all of her videos or most of them. that's the way she is. i don't think she's acting weird. she's just being herself, which is outside of the norm of how most of us think a 17 year old should act. i mean she's been sheltered her whole life and she has no friends except daniel so she has all these imaginary ones, which is great i think.

Me too, Spacie, me too. By the way if I ever saw a 17 year old girl hangin out by the hotel pool with her little hairy friends, I'd probably smack her in the face.
and then i would smack you in the face and beat the sh** out of you for being a bully.

Yeah...I'd love to, infact.
I knew I'd take some crap for the damn animals. Ok, in a "vlog" and theoretically/psychologically etc, I understand the stupid little things' importance, but if you were rushing in and out of your house after you just saw your parents being hauled off by a bunch of wackos...and you're throwing some clothes in a bag, trying to make sure you're not forgeting anything...and you're in a panic, you're worried, a lot of stuff is going through your mind etc., are you really gonna bring all your plushies with you?
edit- It's not really something I want to go back and forth on. I hate them. I'm sorry, but I do. Their presence is extremely annoying to me.
that's basically like saying you would leave your dog or other pets behind. for some people, their pets mean a lot to them. with bree, her stuffed animals mean a lot to her. too bad you're too close-minded to get that and accept that some people are different and have different personalities. bree may have been brainwashed by whatever org she's in but you've been brainwashed by our messed up society.

Wait, kelly, you mean the stuff you posted in the plot discussion forum was about Crowley? I didn't get that from what you posted at all. Could you add more that specifically talks about Crowley? Or at least add a link?

no what i posted first didn't have a direct link to Crowley(probably in some peoples eyes at least...)
i just posted a bit from alister crowley's side of it.
But the philosophies that I did post about influenced crowley.
If you look at crowley's philosophies from the "satanic" point of view, you don't really see it. But if you look at it from the pagan/wiccanpoint of view you do. And where I'ma practicing Wiccan, i kind of see the connection

Using great restraint I say to you:
Stuffed animals are not the same as dogs or other pets..they are stuffed pieces of fabric. I know that her stuffed animals are symbolic. I said that I understand their importance..but I still think that when you are in the midst of a crisis situation where you're very raw..very alive, very human, things like stuffed animals are not so important anymore. I just don't find it realistic that she would grab them. I realize that you have a different opinion, just like I realize that people have different personalities. I still think it's unrealistic. I still hate the stupid things. Get a grip. Don't tell me my mind is closed becuase I think her stuffed animals are annoying... that's just silly.
