Gemma didn't bring up OpAphid, Bree did. Gemma said that she remembered it after Bree said something about it.

Okay, so this could create a lot of controversy.
Are the Watchers with the Order and Gemma was trying to gain Bree's trust... or did the Order want Bree and Daniel to keep running... or.. are the Watchers good?
Did Gemma have genuine intentions at first and is now being coerced by the Order, or has she been deceiving us all along?
Was she ever in England..?
And did she ever actually leave the Order?
What does she know about the Tachyon's family?
Hmm...
Oh, and by the way, I could be wrong, but I've been reading all the OpAphid threads very studiously (because they are beyond confusing to comprehend), and I don't think it has been confirmed that Sam = Brother.
Just so you all know. That sounds like a cool theory though!!
I LOVE TACHYON.

I'm so glad to be surprised/proven wrong by the creators. I was sure that the "Gemma is bad" stuff was wishful thinking and they were just doing a hokey job with her character. I couldn't be happier - this is the best twist so far!
GO, CREATORS!

Your right so the watchers were good!! They were just there to protect Bree or maybe even keep the Order away from her.

For everyone harping on Sam.
Sam != "brother"
Tachyon's family is the one who dissappeared after her sister participated in the ceremony (or so we have been led to believe). And since to participate in the ceremony, you need to believe in the Order, "Brother" could not possibly be Sam. After all, the main objection Gemma's parents had to Sam was that his family didn't 'subscribe to [their] way of thinking'

Let me just add that Tachyon herself has disavowed any knowledge of Sam.

BUT we have to remember she is a LIAR!! SO it is possible that ALL the above info could be false too!!
Was that what the whole "nut kills man" business was about, to let us know she couldn't be trusted?

I knew they were in Cal, but didn't realize it was No Cal.

All places where Tachyon has dropped clues to be retrieved and decoded.

Yeah, this is my theory too. Kind of.
So I have always thought gemma was evil, or at least that there was something off about her. She was trying to convince B&D to go home after we knew that there were cameras in their houses.
I believe the watchers are good.
Gemma told bree about the watchers, because she is on Opa's side. If the watchers are, in fact, good, gemma would have had to instill some fear in Bree to keep her away from them.
(but then there's the question, how did the Opa gang get in bree's room if there were watchers at the motel?)
And to be even nerdier, Watcher in the Buffy sense, was definately a good thing. Giles. 'nuff said.
gemma=bad
watcher=good
daniel=screwed
jonas=alterior motives (cute girl, big house)

This might be a crazy idea but maybe Gemma is replacing Bree for the ceremony. Maybe try to help her or maybe the order are just getting desperate for the ceremony and don't wanna waste time following Bree.
