Characteristics?

Edited: To say I like other people's lazy eye theories because...
In general, I sometimes think they're looking for adaptive traits such as the ability to change/morph or that they're looking for just the opposite. The theme keeps popping up in differant ways. (If your interested, Examples of Change below)
However, I don't know how you would determine any adaptive traits at birth. I always hear the average infant is pretty adaptive from the get-go (shrugs), so it seems like there would have to be some kind of specific physical test.. blood work or specific gene test to determine if the infants had the potential to change/alter their mind-body chemistry. Maybe, some kind of weakness like the lazy left eye? Bree was what..3 months old at the time when they identified the problem? The very fact that Bree was able to physically adjust/correct/change her vision and metaphorically her perspective at 4 yr old, could be what qualified her for the ceremony.
Quick Observations:
- Jonas: I haven't gone back to check Jonas's other vids, but if you go frame by frame in the foosball vid... he has a seriously dark and freaky left eye (the viewers left). It was around the time he was talking about loving his foosball table. Somebody's perspective is off.. hehe
- Gemma: Her hair often has a tendancy to cover her left eye. Haven't checked for freaky eye moments.
- Bree: To be fair, I think I caught Bree with a freaky eye in one vid. Might've been the video where Daniel and Bree hit the road..(tries to remember)... I think when Bree was sitting in front of the tree and Daniel was yelling at her.
Examples of Change:
The lazy eye trick. Physically adapting, but Bree also mentions seeing things from a differant perspective. Change.
The Proving Science Wrong vid about domesticated animals. Animals that were once wild now domesticated. Change.
Nut and allergies. Almonds are naturally poisonous (cyanide gas) until we domesticated them by growing the mutant non-poisonous kind. Anyhow, some people grow out of whatever allergies they have and some develop them. Change.
Salt. K, I dunno about salt, but Gemma talks about difficult life changes and eating Thai food for the first time and it was salty. Change.
Evironment. Bree has gone from living a sterile ..maybe all natural(depending how you look at it) and domesticated life to being thrust out into the big bad world dirty world. Will she thrive and adapt? Change.
Ceremony.
- The initiation begins around puberty. The time when the body starts changing physically, perspective changes (teen rebelion), and other people's deadly bacterial spit doesn't seem so dirty anymore. (wiggles eyebrows) Change.
- They force a diet and inject stuff into the body to what end? No clue, but it seems like it could be literal and symbolic of changes her mind and body are going through.
- Sunlight, Simple/Complex Sugars, glucose and Epogen (all potential forms of energy). I'm throwing that in ...just cuz.

jonas has a video in which he has a black eye. does that mean he was hurt by the order? his parents death maybe...?JustAnotherLonelyGirl. wrote:I think it has to be something physical too. And I think Gemma was another stolen baby. So what's different about the two of them?
I thought of maybe eyes. The eye is a huge symbol in the Order, and Op and Tach vids are always showing images of eyes. Gemma has creepy blue eyes. Bree's are brown. Could that mean anything?
i actually intended this post to be sarcastic, but ive changed my mind. its quite possibly some hard core symbolism

funny though, as much as the order values free will, that's what's seeming to get in their way, isn't it? it would be a lot easier for the order if bree had little free will at all. one might think they would value obedienceJustAnotherLonelyGirl. wrote: luminous suggested in the video section that the characteristics needed are those that make up a good Free Will.
like intelligence, leadership, curiosity, intellect, purity, etc.
they would all tie in to Bree's 'Free Will' that would (presumably) lead her to the ceremony and a very high ranking within the Order.
but someone........daniel.......got in their way
which makes me think of the new op video. how things haven't gone according to plan... or have they?. maybe this is a test- had bree stuck with the ceremony, they would have disposed of her, she being useless and all. but now they're interested in what she will do with no rules.
and her father had to die because he was cluing her in

I definitely think one of the characteristics they look for is a WHITE baby. I know that's totally racist, but I'm not condoning it, I think it's wrong - I'm just saying that's what this evil cult looks for. It's part of being evil. If you notice the clues, you'll notice that none of the people in LG15 are black:
Bree - White
Bree's mom - not black
Bree's dad - not black
Gemma - Not black (but possibly a little asian?)
Paul - not black
Andrea - not black
Jonas - white
Daniel - not black but arabic, but he is an enemy of the cult
Rhonda - white
So you can see that whiteness is probably a characteristic as it is for most evil cults that kill people. Like the KKK. Sick, sick people.
I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

I am with you on this one, Spaciegirl, I keep getting scared that all the answers lie in some video game, or sci-fi series that I have never even heard of.spaciegirlreturn wrote:I just hope this doesn't get too sci-fi. Bree states that the order takes girls who show potential at birth. Given their belief in the Zodiac of Denderah, I suppose it could be due to the sign they were born under, or star position or something. However, the only thing my kids accurately "showed" at birth were their gender, skin color and their APGAR scores......so I am not sure what to make of this statement.
I have been kind of thinking that it has something to do with the mother, or bloodline. For instance, if the infant comes from a bloodline or mother with some sort of genetic characteristic that the Order finds desirable...and they hope that they can realize this potential within the "controlled" environment.

I don't know, I see it more this way:
1 part Saved By the Bell
1 part "The View"
2 parts Gilmour Girls
3 parts Vodka
2 parts orange or lemon zest
2 parts "Sex in the city"
1 part "Three's Company"
and 5 parts "Wheel of Fortune"
Sprinkle in Regis and Kelly to taste
Shaken, not stirred! Serve chilled in a spongebob sippee cup with a crazy straw!
