Lurker, I think the difference is that men are raised to suppress their feelings, and women are not.

i tend to agree w/ omega and lurker on this one, but admit the lines on this probably are drawn between the younger and older forum folk. most of us who look back on that wild oats stuff don't find it all that amusing anymore. but hey, they are young. they (apparently) have to go through that stuff themselves. they don't want to hear about from the old geezers.
more to the point lurker made tho is that it seems really careless, AGAIN, w/ the situation they're in. they did just see someone shot in that last fiasco.
they followed alex there to watch her and they just stopped watching to go play?
bree was very charming in this.
longest video?

Yeah, I think you're right. Reminds me of an article I was reading in The New York Times on Monday, I believe. This one unit over in Iraq has lost 39 people in the past five months, and it's apparently been really hard on those still alive. The brigade chaplain - who himself has had to get counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder - said "cultural norms, if you will, checkmate a lot of guys from healthy grieving. One of the jobs I have is to give them permission to do that.”

That may be the case. I'm actually only 20 myself, though. But I've learned a lot by watching people I've known make bad choices, so maybe that plays into it and makes me a geezer on this particular subject.

Yeah, I can't figure that out. They slept in the car to make sure they didn't miss her leaving the hotel, but they're apparently fine with doing this. That's odd.

i kinda find the excessive drinking annoying and I'm almost 20 too.

I think in the vid they play on the boys being 19, and thats usually what college age kids do.
Oh yeah. I'm that girl on FOB Life who Rafine said that Reza, Jackson, and Yousef all wanted to screw when I called in.

Well! I had no idea that there were so many senior citizens who post on here. Do you honestly believe that two 19yr old boys will go to Mexico and not drink?
What do you suggest? Croquette, Lawn Bowling, or shuffle board?

This isn't excessive it's realistic. If it were every video then yah that would be a bit much. So lighten up guys!!!

This video is ranks in the top 5 out of all of them!!!!!
I hope they keep the trio together. All three actors have become so natural around each-other. This was so enjoyable to watch.

KUDOS!!! X INFINITY!!!!!

sorry guys, i guess it's just me then, old geezerski.
anyway if you have seen that behavior, esp. in people you care about, it can be hard to laugh about.
not wanting to bring anybody down or get preachy.
it's realistic from the standpoint of teenagers, but from teenagers on the run, seeing what they have and knowing what they do...it is riskier behavior than i would expect.

I'm 32. I've, quite honestly, only been "sloppy drunk" once.
The fact that two, young, adult, males go to Mexico and tie-one-on isn't the unrealistic part of the story.
The fact that "three young, REFUGEES who are constantly watching their backs OR observing someone who MIGHT be an enemy getting drunk" IS unrealistic. Seriously... they remember being chased in Vegas, then being abducted, and their next memory is a gun fight in the desert...but, now they're drinking in Mexico and acting like jack-asses?? The Creators need to find a thread and stick with it. Are they running from a religious cult that wants Bree for a mystery ceremony or are they doing a Travel Channel documentary on every place that doesn't check ID (or accepts fake I.D.)?
At this point, the people watching the vids are invested, to a certain extent, in the ORIGINAL STORY (a homeschooled girl who's asked, by her religion, to be in a ceremony). We want the plot holes filled. And, I'm sure I'll be the unpopular one, but I almost feel like this series should end soon. It needs some closure. For those who have been watching for a year...the constant cat-and-mouse is getting old.
I think the boys are cute and humorous... but, I don't watch the vids to see the exploits of two guys who just wanna' get their drunk on. KWIM? I watch it for Bree and the mystery of the Order.

I was kind of surprised to come to this thread and not see any ceremony discussions of "sex magick" and virgin sacrifice with Bree's mention of pregnancy.

I did like this video... even though I was a little iffy about why the abduction storyline was suddenly dropped. I guess I shall see...
RIP, Tachyon. Your badass-ery shall be missed.

Jules, call me. I'll teach you to say "My name is..." in French with my patented, minimally violent tutorials.

You know, ericksi managed to suggest it might be older folks who found fault with all that without being insulting in doing it. This particular way of suggesting it insults not just us but senior citizens too. Good job with that.

Anyway, yes, I honestly do believe that two 19-year-old guys can go to Mexico under those circumstances and not get drunk.

Well here's something we can completely agree on.

Yeah. I don't think it's realistic at all in that sense. It can be funny, sure - and this video was truly funny as f**k, especially at the end - but it's just not the right season, I think.

See, house, the thing is, when Daniel first started getting drunk, some of the fans thought he was hilarious that way, and asked for more drunk Daniel.

Well here are my thoughts, first off, this too will pass. In one episode of Mixed Media they talked about Daniel being a drunk, so obviously this is ment to be a story arc. I see the whole drunk thing coming to a climax by the end of this month. Daniel's drinking will get everybody or almost everybody captured by the order, or maybe just Bree captured by the screw free will faction, and this will shake Daniel sober. Everybody will agree that this is not the best way to handle stress, but this is Daniel's way of handling stress. I think he felt really hard for Alex and just wants to forget about it. The thing that makes Daniel who he is is that he's a guy who just wants to live a normal life, that's what we saw when he crushed all over Alex, when he went to the party, and in this video when he partied like any other college aged student. What is needed is for him to come to terms with the fact that right now his life is not normal and to be willing to live with that for now. And yes, I also think the creators are doing this "lets make the audience bond with bree now while alienating Daniel/Jonas a bit" Though I don't think they'll alienate him for as long or intensely as they did Bree
