I liked what little we've seen of them both. But, really, we've hardly seen enough to decide that we hate them or that they can't act.

If you go back and watch Bree's first couple of vlogs, they're pretty bad. She was way too sing-songy in how she spoke (which, along with the "um"s, I think was supposed to cover the line transitions). That's not a diss to Jessica Rose, but it is to say that most actors don't "feel out" their character until they've played them for a little while (arguably, the writers don't either). Compare early Bree to present Bree and there's a big difference.

The only reason Bree didn't get trashed the way Jules and Taylor have been is because people didn't know she was a fictional character. They're approaching these two "potentials" (Buffy fans will get this, I think) with the knowledge that they're not real people, and with the critical analysis parts of their brain in overdrive when they get there.

All that said, I personally think Bree's intro dialogue was still a little more natural than Jules'. Being sing-songy and using "um"s does make things feel less scripted. I thought Taylor did basically as good of a job, though.

I've grown way too attached to Bree's character after all this time. And it just seems a TAD bit too obvious that they're writing in Jules' character with vague information. It's just. Really uncomfortable. Or something. And her acting scares me actually... Grillz may have been really weird, but it was cute to me. The rapping that Jules does just creeps me out. o_O Eck. And everyone's too quick to judge that she's from The Order. Whether or not she's really a "new Bree" or she's bait made by the order, this was the worst job that The Creators could do to try and make a character canon in my honest opinon.

My only guess and hope is that she's someone who's sent out by The Order as bait for BDJ.

That's exactly what I thought, when I first went on the page I thought that someone else must have registered that myspace name first, then I looked around a bit and realised it is her!


Jules annoys me less than Taylor (and she comes across as more natural, although that isn't really saying much) she makes me think of a more immature Bree after eating loads and loads and loads of sugar. She does still grate on me a little though...

Even in French class one would never learn "Mon nom est Jules". It would be "Je m'apelle Jules".

And I agree...this myspace and her pic kinda puts her farther out of the running for me. shrugs

A sheltered kid similar to Bree wouldn't watch that much TV, Bree admitted she didn't. In my opinion...it doesnt' much matter that she got mentioned...to me she's just not it. I hope I'm right, lol. pleassseeee....

I learnt French for 9 years and I didn't pick up on this out of practice a little I think!

I'm hoping that she is a diversion like other people have suggested...an actress hired by the creators to play a character but that she's just some random girl and not 'the new girl'.

I'm way out of practice but someone had picked up on her phrasing of German in the video so it stuck out to me. I'm pretty sure I misspelled it, though, haha. I can speak better than I can spell.

Ugh that picture just creeped me out. When I first saw this girls videos I thought she was just some girl on YouTube trying to get attention. Then I see her myspace and it still looks like some girl on the internet trying to get attention.

I do NOT like this character at all.

There's only one form of being sheltered and only one response to it? Every one of these girls must be exactly like Bree in her first vlog?

I don't think that makes sense, nor good storytelling.

In any case, Bree said she spent a lot of time on her computer in her first vlog. I'm thinking that a sheltered girl would be better kept away from all the things she could find on the internet than kept away from "American Idol" and most of the other stuff to be found on TV.
