It could be "bears" or "bares"
and "absorbs" is completely valid too.
I want to see what the rest of the lines are before I commit

you're missing a "T" and a "Y" in the first line
an "S" in the fourth line

i agree with "die to inherit thy father's name," but
DEEHHITTOITTORY (6) is different from DEEHHIYINTRITOT (5). it does not have 'IN' but it has another 'TO'.
