I like to think Cu Roi would run a cleaner (in the sense of story, clarity, and drop locations) ARG than this one.

Oh yeah, and what all the other "brown-nosers" said defending him, too.

Btw, I don't think he's overstepped the role of a normal ARGer. I for one have never been involved with an ARG so I chose to sit back and watch, while only occasionally getting involved (and only slightly at that - I got sick of anagrams pretty quick).
Word pie.

1) God I hate Hate HATE anagrams. >_<

2) More importantly, These things happen that way sometimes. Look at UnForums some time. Right now in the AV game Angry Banana is the go to girl for the main character. He shares more with her, that's the PMs choice in order to make the character more real. To balance this they requested a white witch and finally someone has taken him up on it.

In Sammeeeees (I think it's 5 es) There are certain players who, because they seek it out, manage to interact more with the characters. It's like twjaniak making vids and lord's game and cassiewatching's status (to me anyway) as the person for handy status updates and audio on a handful of ARGs.

We choose our own level of involment. Some people just luck out on where they live.

Which reminds me. Why are all of these games in CA and TX!?!? I'm near Cleveland, that could be...terrifying really. How about Kent instead? Anyone? /bitter midwestern

someone was told not to go find the revelation 2 clue because they would be wasting their time, because Cu Roi was already on his way there.
someone also said something like 'if Cu Roi cant find it, no one else could'
both of which are not only very condescending, but also very ignorant, givin that Cu Roi now only has a .333 AVG on finding a clue on his first visit to a drop site.
probably because he seems to take the headless chicken approach, by taking off to a location before deciphering the clues that come with a vid. which means he gets to the location first, but then he doesnt know what to do once he's there

also, once the news reached the board that Cu Roi hadnt found anything on Sunday, the Cu Roi cheerleaders immediately started saying he will probably go again tommorow (Monday)
which again discouraged anyone else from going on Monday, because if the guy whom people act like the ARG god is going on Monday, why should they even try.
and another day passed before it was found

I have nothing against Cu Roi, he has done very well, easily the MVP of this thing.
I just cant stand the one-eyed Cu Roi cheer squad

Oh this is so boring, pants.

Did you go on Monday? No. Were you heartlessly prevented from going by board meanies? No. Can you produce any other board member who was heartlessly prevented from going by board meanies? No. Are you giving us a reason to form a one-eyed cheersquad (?!) for you? No.

It was a ten-mile hike. With a ridiculously vaguely-hidden drop.

So why rain on Cu_Roi's parade here?

I'm feeling cranky now, too, but jeez ... go argue with people in the Religion thread, or something.

Thats the only time we suggested people not go.

Hell even Frank, bless his dead soul, said it was stupid to go into the park at night.

So are we getting married or not, Chixor. I'm getting impatient and I don't like waiting.

Everytime we have a drop...are we going to have to go through this crap about Cu? It's really getting old. All you people accusing him of something need to search the threads and read the old convos of the same crap and get over it.

no one was prevented from going obviously, but the Cu Roi brown-nosing brigade certainly demean the potential efforts of people who may go, which discourages them from going.
result = clue wasnt found until day 3

and if you read the thread about the revelation 2 clue, you will see what Im saying.
Im not making it up, which is what you seem to be implying

Im not raining on Cu's parade, I clearly said he is the MVP
Im just talking about the Cu brown-nosers

Chill out, I'm by no means a brigade, here. I have been here since the first drop, though...and this whole conspiracy is tired and old. You want to go get it, go out...and stop crying.
