Ha ha! I was right ladies and gentlemen!!!! The ceremony was a fake and Bree doesn't know anyhting about what's really going on!!! Oh Yes!!!!

For reference, this is what my theory was a week ago:

What do we know about Bree's religion. Not much. But I think she doesn't know much either. It's all a make-to-believe thing. Did the priest looked like a priest to you? More like a security guard/secret agent type of Nazi crazy dude if you want my opinion. Why are they after Daniel? Because they have something to hide, obviously.

So why do they do that? I think they are selecting a few kids around the country, a few "chosen ones", lonely kids, easy to manipulate. What is in common between Aleister Crowley and the people on the Mayflower? They were people who wanted to found an new society, create a new world. People who wanted to take their destiny in their hands. Remember what Bree's mother said to her father when they met? Bree's parents are into it too. They agreed to hand Bree to these guys to be a chosen one.

What will they do? I think they have a crazy plan like building a new society from scratch, independently of human evolution (they want to prove science wrong!). So they're a chosing a few kids, inocent,pure, without attach to anyone, and they will bring them in a secret place, like a refuge...something that would be called Anchor Cove for instance. They will be the children of Anchor Cove, the future of human kind or some crazy stuff like that.

So obviously some rearrangements are needed here. First, Bree knew it was all staged and she lied. (Bree lies, the late Cassie was right).
But still, the point is: IT WAS STAGED. Why was it staged? I keep thinking it's because they want to protect not the secrets of the religion: symbolism, initiation, rituals llike it's generally the case in all secret societies. But what they want to keep secret is their Plan. I believe they have a plan that goes beyond the simple religious stuff. We still have the question of the locations. If Lucy was going on a trip to help other children, the timing would have been right. But now, we know Lucy's going nowhere far from Bree. So the locations might be part of the ceremony to come. Unless, everything we see from Daniel is actually manipulated by "THEM". We are given false information. SO what can we trust. Bree is not to be trusted (because she knows). Daniel is not to be trusted (because he doesn't know). To the worst, and I'm sorry to say that BK, but Owen might be lying too!

I think we have to believe that the cult doesn't watch the vlogs, otherwise it's foolish for Bree and Daniel to communicate this way, and the verisimilitude of the saga (never that thick to begin with) gets too thin to support its own weight.

geez, note the sarcasm people. i guess people these days don't have a sense of humor.

Wow, I wake up,a new video is up, and just finished reading the pages of comments. Bree lied? Actually not too surprising. But the fact she knew that the ceremony was staged, I don't know if we should believe anything she says now. They are definately testing her faith. And she probably failed them already by breaking her "purity bond". She is borderline either going to join the Order or going to be "sacrificed" at this point. The Order definately wants her in, but I think it teeters on if they find out she's meeting with Daniel. Hahaha I don't know what to think now! Going in circles is fun!

She was probably getting upset with Daniel when he asked questions because she had no answers. All her life she has been told to believe in this and trust in her parents and them. She was stable and secure in her beliefs until the questions came. Daniel made her question herself and everything her life is made up. Of course she'd get upset. How can you be mad at someone that didn't know any better? Its like dealing with a child.

That makes sense. They don't see these vlogs....she's not apologizing for lying to us...she feels bad because she lied to Daniel. These vlogs are personal and they act like there are not 1 million watchers. If the people knew about the vlogs, they would have her remove them.

And Daniel has been doing a lot of snooping..it makes sense that someone would notice him, tell bree to lie, then have him come follow her...that way they could identify him and see if he is a threat or not.

I think you and I were on the same page with theories before, pretty much, but to implicate that Owen has some stake in this, that he might be playing both sides in order to get extra turtle feed and that he's Lucy's mole (er, turtle) on the inside providing the Order with information on Bree's actions...well, I simply can't stand for that, sir. You know if the people from her religion (the elders, lucy, ect) see this video, Bree will be in big trouble. She was told to keep a secret, and it seems that they can no longer trust her.

If they were trying to keep him away, her lying to him about the 'real ceremony' just makes him more likely to want to find out more. It will make him even more suspicious, why go to such great lenghts to hide this ceremony? If they know about the vlogs why not telll Bree not to talk about it at all?

I don't understand though why Bree said she wasn't going to get to see Lucy anymore, it's an easy way to make Daniel Suspicious if he stills sees Lucy at her house. He even said he saw Lucy at Bree's house again, and questioned why this was if the ceremony was over. Why not just say Lucy was going to be sticking around (Post Ceremony Fun?) and that she couldn't wait to 'hang out' with her again?

Lets be honest with ourselves here, we aren't going to see a sacrifice, it's too dark, and if that was her Religion's intent, Bree will be saved in the last moment Indiana Jones style.
