And so far we have
A- Analyze
P- Protect
H- Hinder
I- ?
D- ?
I am thinking "investigate" sounds good..

I'll take a stab at this...
I - Investigate
D - Deciefer (sp?)
as in, deciefer the clues?

I'm thinking "interact" sounds very good, as others have pointed out.
So, if the acronym is supposed to be sequential, then we must: analyze, protect, hinder, interact and "d". Since Bree mentioned this in regards to survival skills and strangers, and Op in regards to enemies, it seems we need to analyze people (like tachyon, Daniel, etc), protect something close to us (like a secret order/religion), hinder others attempts at harming us or our closest secrets (or maybe infiltrating us), and interacting with each other (ala the new canon chat created for us, assuming we're all on the same page and a part of the order). I've been trying to come up with a good "d" given all these speculations, but I'm mostly drawing a blank. I don't think "destroy" works because that seems too drastic given the previous statements. However, "determine" may work because perhaps we can "determine" that the person we're working with would be a good candidate to enter into our confidence, and thus the order. I've also thought of "define", because after all that exhaustive analyzing, protecting, hindering and interacting, we can "define" what threat/lack of threat the person we're working with is going to be, and thus we can give them the title of friend, enemy, ally, etc.
I may be a lurker, but I can't resist chewing on a good puzzle. ;P

I probably stands for "instant," "instantly," or "instantaneous."
You gotta love the way I throw three guesses in there and pretend they are one.

Don't forget that lightning also "illuminates."

Are you actually really trying to guess what I in Aphid stands for?
Do you watch LG15 videos? I thought it was pretty clear. Bree says it: "OpAphid: it's an acronym to guide our interaction with strangers". I=Interaction.
