[I in APHID][Video][Drop] Lose Something? Serious Discussion

Ok, just a thought here. Sorry, brain kicking in.

What if Tachy really isn't in Fiji. Here is my thoughts. The video shows us Fiji, and there is no sound. Nothing. The video pans and pans...and we pick up nothing.

Then, she focuses on California. Bingo...cell phone interference. She keeps panning, and creates a very large trianlge.

Now, we assume that the triangle is pinpointing where Bree and Daniel are because we hear Daniel's voice tell us that he dropped his ID. What if our assumption is wrong.

Maybe she's attempting to Goad tachy to go get it, revealing herself. Tachy is not in fiji...but somewhere in california. Fiji may be a clue left by brother that did not truly mean the actual country.

Just my thoughts.

Ruberic, I like your way of thinking! I think you may be right as in to out Tachy! I mean it's like the Truman Show. That girl that liked Truman never went to Fiji at all. Stayed in Cali.

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for ages and an idea occured to me that might not have been investigated yet. Maybe it's a stupid idea because I'm new, but maybe not.

We know Nikki B is cannon now, has anyone checked out the bowling ally/bar she investigated? It's possible she missed something...

It's in the fan fic section, still. But milowent outted that she's a friend of the creators or something. Fourth wall, she can't admit she's cannon.

yep http://milowent.blogspot.com/ that link was posted in the coments on the video page by milowent. Being friends with the creators irl is pretty good proof of cannonization.

My take on the whole drop or lack thereof is this: People were too impatient and wanted to rush out and find whatever may have been placed. No matter how many times people said we should wait for the upload on YT, they just wanted to go, which is understandable. We have been idle for sooooo long, waiting for Op to make a move, that we totally jumped the gun.

Seeing as Op has not yet uploaded the video on YT, nor has she even logged in to change her profile, I think its a bit telling. While the video may be a precurser to a drop, we really need to wait for more information before we send people driving all over hell and back to search for things.

My sincere apologies to Luv and Saff as well as my heartfelt thanks. You were truly dedicated to the game in that you were willing to give up you time (and gas) to drive around for us looking for something, anything for us.

I hope that we have learned our lesson and that we will not let excitement drive us to make novice mistakes next time.

If it's a drop, Op wouldn't have posted the video on Revver unless there was something to recover already in place. YouTube or not--especially now that the videos are debuting on Revver first.

What struck me about this new video pointing to a drop 100% is the similar language to the "Action of an Enemy" video. In both, Op lays down a similar challenge/task to complete and gives us enough of a setup to know where to look but it's still a test of our recovery skills.

It also makes sense for the story, since Op can't hint us towards where Tachyon would've hidden something specificially (after stealing it from OpAphid), and Op wouldn't know exactly where Daniel lost his fake ID.

If Op knew which one of the half dozen bowling allies it was, why would Op need us to go see which one has the fake ID outside of it?

I agree it'd be sketchy if not for the "I think it's clear what your next task is." That's the equivalent of a "tag, you're it" IMHO.

So how many bowling allies remain unchecked?

I completely agree with you in that the language points to a drop. I just don't think it was a well planned out move on Ops part. I believe that only 2 of the alleys remain unchecked. I think that this was actually a bit of a screw up. They uploaded the video on Revver before they meant to. We have yet to get a drop on anything other then a weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), so I don't think that they would stray from that setup. I really think that this was a mistake on their part, albeit a large one, and that we will be sending someone to one of the bowling alleys this weekend, to actually retrieve what they have finally placed

REMINDER

Oppy has done a drop before. Actions of an Enemy: Be Careful

Noa and Archetype went and can tell us more about the drop.

What we do know is that the exact location of the items wasn't shown (infact a non-item was on the phone) and that she said only "We trust you can find your way to this location". This fits Oppy's MO even though I wish it wasn't going this way for this long with this little.

If my assumption is correct that Oppy is trying to out Tachy...we may see the following.

A new vid from Tachy saying "I've located it, get it before Oppy does...it has important information that we don't want her to get". Type of drop.

Thats what I am watching for.
