To the sponsors and people who advertise on lonleygirl the fact that he was involved in anything distastefull at or away from work would affect thier decision to place advertising. That he cheated on a game, not so much.
Even when you are away from work you are representing your company and that he did this with a player (read client) is unaceptable.
Call up one of your companies clients, get all snuggly with her.
Then ask her for nudy pictures. If that client were to come forward and tell your company what you did. Can we say goodbye.

I am in agreement with you itsreallyreal; only Glenn is responsable for what Glenn did.

I know it sucks but it is what it is...
But don't you think that OpAphid is the best part of the LG15 story, whether you are solving puzzles or not?

NO, not everyone feels that way. This site was set up for LG15, after all...and though many did only care about OpAphid, many care about LG15 very much as well. This ARG...would it have happened were it not for LG15? Yes, it's added a LOT....but to say it's the best thing or most important...is a mistake in my eyes. They are entwined.

I think the forum, the LG15 series, and even the ARG can survive this controversy. Obviously, people are extremely passionate about one, the other, or both (and I tend to agree with Kasdeja here. For better or for worse, they're intertwined now and you don't have one without at least some elements of the other), else there wouldn't be such a large reaction. Sure, we're going to lose some members, and even some mods and ops. I understand their reasons and respect their decisions, and wish them nothing but the best of luck in whatever they do. But The Creators aren't going to abandon us, and I think we can grow, as a community, because of this current controversy and any others which might pop up down the road.

I agree wintermute, I think that this has been a very steep learning curve from all involved.
I am sure that they are going to take thier time to reflect on the situation before even considering moving on.
The sad part about that is in the meantime, while we all wait, the discussions continue to go around in circles and emotions just start to cause chaos.

Umm? you know, discussing why players were shunned from participating apparently means that you get excluded from participating.

There's a drama ban in effect.
Hugs and Puppies for at least the next 48 hours.

However, the drama ban was in the irc. If the drama ban were working here, well, we'd be talking about how Alex is the Order's super sekrit designer.

(Also, really doesn't help your case when you come back, months later, simply for a happy-special-kick-em-when-they're-down-fest)

Right...and I haven't contributed anything helpful here at all right?
The discussion that got be booted actually was me asking why there was always "bad feeling" between those from CiW who tried to participate in opaphid. The person who banned even admitted that they werent arond when the hostility started. The examples given for thier own reasons for hostility were also arguable missunderstandings which were admitted to on both sides, yet its something that isnt allowed to be discussed.
