1) I have a feeling Jonas's parents are just as brainwashed as Daniel
2) Maybe Aunt Alex isn't blood related to Jonas. Anyone mention this?
3)I hope Alex stays for a bit longer, she's a really good actor.
Amazing video in general

soooo,
jonas's parents need to be found.
bree is on the way back.
subtle alex is toying with daniel because...she can?
daniel responds by..leaving?
seems like it would have been more fun to have alex pretend to be good for a little while longer.
db: "jonas, she's not in the order! tell him you're not."
alex: " i'm in the order, so there. plus your parents are still alive."

The Order is obviously full of bad guys. Everything they do is bad. They've kidnapped, killed, and brainwashed people. Even if they believe they have good reasons (which they probably think) they're still bad guys because the ends hardly justify the means.
I was actually thinking about that today. It would actually make a lot of sense. I would love it if things ended up reversed on us.
While the Order has killed and kidnapped people so have Tachyon and brother we've only seen things from an anti-order perspective so far so we just assume that they are the evil ones. It would also tie into the whole parallax theme that is supposed to be important.
Remember we don't even know what the ceremony is supposed to be so it could end up being something good.
On a different note I wonder how much of this is planned out in advance. I mean did the creators even know themselves what the ceremony and the order was all about when they started or have they just been filling things in as they go along? Was an anti-order always planned? I think it would be interesting to know how much of this was intended to begin with.

I actually disagree ericski. I like the fact that they told us the aunt was bad. It moves the story along and gave us new important information (the fact that there are people who will be coming after Bree and stop at nothing, and the fact that Jonas' parents are still alive). I think it was a good move to let us know early on that she was bad.
Think of it...if they hadn't we would have to sit through a ton more videos of aunt alex being interviewed and flirted with by Daniel...not much action there.

You're right...and the Creators KNOW that we get grumpy when the video gives us NOTHING new...haha...we are a little hard to please...j/k.

I think Jonas's parents are on the run and left him only because they know coming back to him will put him in danger
I think the aunt is related by blood and knows all about the order. She's the evil sister. Maybe a step sister, though. There are plenty of fairy tales involving evil stepsisters and step mothers...
I think they should have tied her up at that point until bree came over

Again, though, they've done unquestionably evil things (just look at everything they've put Daniel through, not to mention Bree). In my opinion, no matter what this little ceremony of theirs is supposed to do (even if it's to stop the polar ice caps from melting or something wacky good like that), they're evil because their methods are evil. I don't believe you can separate people from their methods.
And, really, if they were good, why wouldn't they just explain themselves? If the ceremony was supposed to do something grand and beneficial for the rest of the world, if they explained that to Bree, she would have probably gone along willingly - maybe even if it meant she was going to die. If they have to be so secretive and use such shady tactics, I really doubt they've got good things in mind.
Added to that, since they have to get Bree to do this whole thing willingly, why would they resort to all manner of hurtful tactics when they could have maybe convinced her by telling her the truth of their benevolent plan? Heck, they never even tried
lying to her about a benevolent plan.
The way I see it, there's no way these guys are good - no matter what their intentions are or who they're fighting.

During the first Mixed Media session a couple of weeks ago, I think Greg said they have a general outline, but a lot of things get added in as time passes. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I think it was something to that effect.

I agree with all of this.

I lol'd when I saw that.
Oh gee who else thought Auntie Alex was evil? I knew there was something sketchy about her. So what now, I'm confused as well is she a part of the order or isn't she. I hope the next video is Jonas telling us the whole story about Alex, yet it'd really suck if they strayed off finding the mysteries of Bree to explain Jonas parents. Bree needs to come back and bear kick butt skills to destroy the order with Jonas new info.

Bree needs to come back and karate kick Alex right in the face and break her nose.
That would be the greatest video ever.

There was a reference to Kraft Singles. Will there be some sort of cheese-related promotion in the near future?
Interesting twist with Evil Aunt Alex, but how is Jonas involved? It seems too coincidental that of all the people on all the internets, Bree just happened to accept the help of a young man whose parents were not killed in a boating accident and are somehow involved with the order, and who has a young long-lost aunt who just happens to be part of this sinister organization...Help me understand...I do like Evil Aunt Alex, though. Evil is swell, sometimes.

"Aunt Alex" is evil... so what makes us think she is telling the truth?
I think that either:
a) Jonas' parent's are dead, but Alex is telling him that they are alive to make him trade Bree for his parents. Who's to say that Jonas won't choose his own PARENTS over some girl he met off that internet? "Isn't it hard to give up something you love?" It's easier than you think if you have to choose between the people who raised you and a chick you have a crush on...
b) They aren't his real parents... he is obviously an order baby too so what if, like Bree, Jonas as being raised by people that aren't actually related to him? Maybe he reached a certain age and didn't display the qualities needed to do a ceremony so they buggered off and left him with a special "Order Nanny" to keep tabs on him in case he began to display signs of being able to become a good... watcher?

A lot of people seem to have a problem with the whole coincidence, but I really don't. That's what makes it a fun story! It's a lot more interesting than Bree eating garbage.

Thanks, Lurker.

She must have. She wanted to get a message to "your little friend."
Creepy.
Lurker wrote:By the way, I think the whole "How can you just give up something you love?"/"It's easier than you'd think" thing was supposed to be symbolic. Nice touch.
Agreed. Good call.
Marilee wrote:ok... soooo i can't process a lot cause I am overloaded, but is the dialog in the beginning important??
-the picture being too sentimental
- things changing in her mid 20's (26 i think?)

-giving up things you loved
I think you're right about all of those, Marilee.
Marilee wrote:and what could Jonas' parents have been busy doing?? were they brainwashed by the order??
I think they must have been. Especially if they "don't even remember" Jonas.
