Jess, declawing is a very evil thing to do to a cat or a dog. Cats bite afterwards. They cannot go outside (no protection.) Using the litter box hurts so most of them poop on the floor afterwards.. permanently..

And they are permanently disfigured from it.. even walking hurts..

That practice is outlawed in the U.K. and Canada. Most vets won't do it here, thank God.. However, there ARE evil ones who still do!

I'm sorry to go on about the horrible declawing process.. it's so YUCK!! Jess, I'm very sorry for what your poor puppy went through!

I know what you mean...but in the south people don't even turn their heads if someone yells "Jessie Rae"

Although I'm not fond of the "Jessle Rae" paring...I'm not a redneck and I'd prefer not to be addressed as one

She's all better now! I'm just glad I got her when I did...she was only 5 weeks old, but my vet said if it had gone much longer she may not have any tail left (poor thing it's only about an inch long as is

)

Well, if we ever have that convention we can make Tshirts that say Jessie Rae and Krissy Rae

(warning-totally HORRIBLE post--not for the weak of heart!!)

Jess, tail docking is pretty bad..

but to declaw cats, they put their paws through a "kitty guillotine" and they remove the 1st digit of the paw..'cause fingernails will ALWAYS grow back. The only way to stop it is to cut off 1/3 of the paw. Imagine if someone did that to your fingers and toes?

For those who knew that already.. sorry to remind you of the HORROR!!
