we have a significant missing person... they mention Taylor and Sarah's father in a way that foreshadows his use later in the series...
my favourite heard theory... he is old generation faction like jonas' parents...
or he can even be a zavalla branch of the order...
i prefer the former...
other theorys?

I sincerely hope he's nothing more than Sarah and Taylor's father who has left their mother due to some irreconcilable difference or another. I hope the C's know that it would reduce the characters' value to force them all into being connected to the Order.

The fact that Taylor conveniently knew Jules, and was therefore suddenly thrust into DBJ's lives, is very suspicious. It seems to me that the Order places people in DBJ's lives, as they would if this were a real secret society as we understand this one to be. Also, Alex's assertion that there were people in the Order who would stop at nothing to "get your little friend" would add credence to this.
IOW, IMO, it's not that much of a coincidence that Taylor's father could, or would, be HoO, since Taylor was brought in basically on the very odd coincidence of knowing Jules and seeing Bree's vids both. It makes sense that she could be HoO, and her father as well.

I think that he is a deliberately left a blank character for that they can come back to later if needed to keep the plot growing - kind of like Bree's mom. We know that there is probably more behind Bree's mom and the reason Bree won't talk to her, but its not a part of the story right now.
I personally don't think/hope he's not HoO, but I do hope he will show up and add something to the story.

I think it's an interesting twist they could take with their father, however I think it is just a piece of their background story, and nothing more.

I think that there has to be more to their father than what we've heard, and here's why:
They have REPEATEDLY told us that their father left, and Sarah is taking it especially hard. If it was only mentioned to justify Sarah's unpredictable and childish behavior, then they wouldn't need to keep reminding us about him. We get it, we get it, Sarah is all broken up about her father. Why do you keep reminding us? There has to be a reason, otherwise they wouldn't be.
On the other hand, they might keep writing it for the Taylor character to say because they've made her so boring and aren't creative enough to give her some dialogue that expands her character. Which I don't think is nearly as likely as them having something up their sleeves concerning their dad.

Taylor's in HoO then and her father was against it, which is why she doesn't really mind that he's gone. Their mother's all in on it and Sarah was closest to her dad maybe, so she doesn't really buy into the whole thing. Sarah may not be taking the HoO seriously because she may know all about it and has grown up with it.

It's really only been mentioned twice. Once in a video, presumably to explain Sarah's behavior, and once in a blog the day after that video, presumably to explain away what looked like a plothole (originally none of us had any idea that Sarah's parents weren't still together).
I suppose you could count the conversation between Sarah and Taylor in "Entertaining Myself," but there was quite a bit more to their conversation than just their dad, and it would have probably looked weird if they
didn't talk about their parents.

Well he doesn't have to be connected to the order to be connected to Jonas' parents.
Who knows? Maybe they used to play ARG's together.

/\ haha yesssss
i put this out there so i can believe he is more than backstory to explain why sarah is the way she is with her family... which is unfortunately more realistic

Or Dungeons and Dragons?

Well,
now we know that Sarah and Taylor's dad is dating again. This is what some of us were thinking back when "Entertaining Myself" came out and Taylor said that a phone call from their dad caused their mom to get really sad (and apparently to cut her hair and dye it as well).

I said it before and I'll say it again.
You naysayers of the "new characters = Order-related"?
"HEROES" MADE IT WORK, SO CAN LG15!
and Heroes made it work with a good bit more main characters than lg15 has...
