Intro
A good portion of the ideas I have will never see the light of day because they’re for canon characters or the canon story. I don’t think I can put into words just how frustrating that is for me. This story is a good example. After “ Flesh Wound,” I was a little frustrated. I thought being tied up would be a deal breaker. I needed to know why Jonas would stick around after that. In “My Hand Hurts,” we learn that somehow Jonas’ parents were involved with the Order. That really made me crazy because it just seemed like too much of a coincidence. I thought of this story and with no access to the actors, what was I going to do with it? I figured at some point Jonas would get frustrated and vent again which he did in “Aiding and Abetting.” A version of this story might have fit there as well.

Story Notes
It would be reasonable that he’d be at the end of his rope and he would be reevaluating his situation. I always thought Jonas was zen-like and would be the type to believe in karma so I started playing with this idea that he had helped people before when the opportunity presented itself, which led to Katrina. I decided a stray dog would be what reminded Jonas of his time in New Orleans. I remembered LordGreystroke had a dog and was also from New Orleans so I made it the same kind of dog and worked in that the dog guided him to those in need. I’m all for acknowledging fans and thought this was subtle enough to be meaningful to hardcore fans but incidental to the casual viewer. I really wanted to develop that idea that there were guardian angel like dogs helping people in New Orleans get back on their feet and maybe that this particular one might have actually visited Jonas in his dream. I thought it added just the right touch of a supernatural element.

great job. this reminds me of the style of vlog daniel did about his grandmother - the story within a story framework that worked so well in lazy eye.

In addition to finding backgroumd music I had to grab images with appropriate expressions and then render them to have a comic look. I also had to photochop the Scooby gang. It doesn't help that my PS is not the latest version. Finally it was old school frame by frame stop animation for 40 images in my editor.

I'm pretty sure my elevator doesn't go to the top floor.

I was really afraid the concept would overshadow the story but the response here, lg15today and even YT has mostly been about the story and that definitely made the whole effort worth it.

Thanks again everyone!
