Where is Frank's Painting? 10-5-06

Post by toadlguy »

I can't believe that I left (logged off) for 4 hours to get some sleep and Frank shows up in the Chat room. Oh well - The transcript and blog posts were almost as good. What a riot - I know some people like Frank, no matter how drunk they are still pretty clever and real funny - "And when you show up I want you to be wearing a yellow suit and be 10 feet tall" - priceless.

Anyways - it looks like we need to find Frank's picture. "The picture has not yet commenced, so depicts a rose in soil fenced." So do we think that's the picture?

Maybe the Cup is more a clue to where the picture is rather than vica versa.

I have to go to a clients - but I want this picture found by the time I get back :)

EDIT: The picture being talked about here is the painting that Frank said, during his appearance in the online chat, had been "stolen" from his room. Like the page from the Gideons Bible. We therefore assume it is the next drop. It is not necessarily the picture that there is a piece of representing the WHERE poem. It could be, but there is no evidence it is.

I think Frank feels that things only happen when he is sleeping too. Well until the "Ass" found his blog.

He said we took the painting but left the frame and that the frame was much nicer than the painting.

Is he talking about the frame in the picture?

That frame looks like it's done in the Baroque style (or some similar style) and it's too elaborate to be a picture frame. It looks more like the frame to a mirror (which is what most people have already said).

And even if it was a frame to a painting it seems to me that the part of the painting we can see (the hand holding the chalice) isn't done in the same style as the frame, but instead must be from a 19th or 20th century painting.

My best guess is that the painting depicts Shiva who has blue skin and who's often seen holding a chalice. But I can't find any paintings that fit when I google it!

I'm going crazy here...

The ornateness of a picture or painting frame depends greatly on the type of art and the time period of that art. If you go to a museum you will see many gold, ornate frames such as this.

Yes, we interpret it to be a mirror that means "us"....

Does this (post at his blog) has any meaning?

"I know you must be watching me now. So tell you what. Keep looking at the window. I have a message for you."

The window is metaphoric or just.... the chat window?

I'm so confused, why the heck did I have to go to sleep...

Hey guys!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I agree with toadlguy - I really think that Frank's rant about taking the picture and not the frame is pointing us towards a drop of the picture.

Earlier last night, Cassie posted "Frank is working". Could he have been making the drop of the picture?

Upon "awakening" or coming back to Frank, he is alarmed to see the picture gone and lashes out at us about it in the chat - making us aware that something new is missing from his room.

Gator - that's about what I was thinking as well (good catch on the Frank is working) - I'm not sure the stuff in the photo represents actual pictures of the frame or painting (he did say painting, right?) - that would be unCassie-like (now I know that isn't a word). Nobody did find the WHERE photo though (I think) - so maybe. The WHERE poem needs alot of interpreting as well - how does a picture commence?

Well, commence is roughly equal to happen which could just mean "the picture has not commenced" means it hasn't been dropped yet.

OR

We're talking about a picture that hasn't commenced. Probably having something to do with the chalice. And what was it that we fished out of the lake? Judgment? Which may or may not have anything to do with it.

I think we're after a painting of the Last Day/Second Coming/Final Judgment.

I was thinking it might be a painting of a communion or last supper.
