"Order Of Denderah" and Serapis
Hi guys, sorry in advance for this looong post...
As there is still the question, why Cassie uses always the word Serapis, I did some research, but I wasn't sure about the CiW's connection to Ancient Egypt and thought it to be a long stretch.
However, just now Daniels new video came up and it connects Bree and her religion directly with it. So - I am not sure whether this was posted before (actually, I hope/think that somebody already wikied it) but
Serapis is an Hellenistic-Egyptian god in Antiquity, as you see here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serapis
Serapis was believed to be Osiris, the Egyptian god of life, death and fertility:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osiris
The myth described Osiris as having been killed by his brother Seth who wanted Osiris' throne. Osiris was subsequently resurrected by Anubis. Osiris and Isis gave birth to Horus. As such, since Horus was born after Osiris' resurrection, Horus became thought of as representing new beginnings.
This combination, Osiris-Horus, was therefore a life-death-rebirth deity, and thus associated with the new harvest each year.
OK. My first point: We know action will take place on 10/12/2006. Remember: 12th of October was Aleister Crowleys BIRTHday! And now this time of the year is connected by Daniel and his research to rituals and myths in Brees religion.
But it goes on:
Horus is the god of the sky [up here above you never look!]:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus
He was married to Hathor:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hathor
and there is the Temple of Dendera, a complex in which the Temple of Hathor is the main one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hathor_temple
Well known is the Eye of Horus, the eye of her husband, a symbol of power and protection, The Eye of Horus, originally the Eye of Ra, symbolized royal power.
Here the second thougt: Eye of Horus got this name because of him hurting his one eye, that reminds me of Bree: thedoe-eyed child/moppet, Bree: "my lazy eye"]
The ancients believed this symbol of indestructibility would assist in rebirth. The Eye of Horus was found under the 12th layer of bandages on Tutankhamun's mummy. One of Horus' eyes was the sun and the other the moon. The eye represents a peregrine falcon's eye and the markings round it, including the "teardrop" marking sometimes found below the eye.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_Horus
Horus was important to Crowley, as the god Re-Harachte or Ra-Horakhty (Ra-Hoor-Khuit) is a form of Horus and was found on the Stèle of Revealing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St%C3%A8le_of_Revealing
[Revealing - Revalation???]
Here is Crowleys description of the Stele. "In the museum at Cairo, No. 666 is the stele of the Priest Ankh-f-n-khonsu.
Horus had a red Disk and green Uraeus.
His face is green, his skin indigo.
His necklace, anklets, and bracelets are gold.
His nemyss nearly black from blue.
His tunic is the Leopard's skin, and his apron green and gold.
Green is the wand of double Power; his r.h. is empty.
His throne is indigo the gnomon, red the square.
The light is gamboge.
Above him are the Winged Globe and the bent figure of the heavenly Isis, her hands and feet touching earth."

And here we have found a blue skin, perhaps matching with the picture "where" with the chalice?!?
In addition let me just give one more idea: there is a ritual, Crowley probably performed, called the Invocation of Horus:
http://www.hermetic.com/crowley/eoftg/eqotg6.html
Alright, enough. I am sorry, this post is now so very very long and unreadable. But perhaps this will help??!

I think the jury is still out, unless the mods are given information that we aren'ttwjaniak wrote:And you think they are?oldwoman35 wrote: Oh but you see, for this to be true the Creators and CIW would have to be one in the same!

Osiris was killed by a jealous follower of Isis. His body was cut up and spread around the country. Isis had most of the parts found and supposedly, he was brought back. The new life we see in the spring is suppose to symbolize the rebirth of Osiris.
The picture we are looking for does not seem to belong to the Osiris times. Although, this is just my opinion.

Well, this wouldn't actually surprise me that much. Remember how, just before the Creators came out and confessed their existence, it was reported that a lawyer had applied for a copyright on lonelygirl15? Well, if they've copyrighted her, why isn't CiW getting angry notices about violating copyright law, unless she's either in with the Creators, or has their prior approval.Oh but you see, for this to be true the Creators and CIW would have to be one in the same!
I'm definitely willing to consider the possibility that CiW is a separate entity working with the Creators permission/assistance, though...
