UPDATE REQUEST: WHO IS STILL PLAYING?

Post by SenecaDoane »

OK, I think it might be useful to regroup here and see who is actually still playing, who is completely fed up and done with the ARG, and who is still interested but waiting for others to figure out the last anagram.

Please just post a response indicating which group you fit into. Personally, I'm a little annoyed with the lack of updates, hints, secondary clues, etc. from Cassie. I'm still interested in playing the game, but this anagram is kicking my ass so I think I'll have to wait to see if someone else solves at least a large portion of it. so..

MY STATUS: Still interested, but not actively playing.

Well Seneca - I would have to put myself in your group as well. I have not really contributed to the last anagram - but have thought of taking a crack at it if I have time. There may be something we are missing that would make it easier. If each line is really a separate anagram, with no additional clues, there are just too many possibilities for us to figure out the right one (granted - many of those possibilities are absurd). My hat is off to those still plugging away. In the past, Cassie has pretty quickly come up with some help or direction. Maybe her new host isn't cooperating. :)

I guess the big question is - Have we lost interest in Cassie or has she lost interest in us?

LG15 yep, still interested, but until until the story becomes more "clear" for lack of a better term, I'm pretty much just lurking. As for the Cassie story, same deal, but almost less interested. It's too vague for me.
Dear Bree,

Please come home.

Still interested, not actively playing. Every now and then, I'll plug away at the anagrams. Just not like I did before... At this point, I'm mostly in it for the Meta :)

I'd say I'm of the lurking type aswell. I'm still interested, but the anagram thing... it's just too much for me. From what I've read on the forums, I don't see many ppl trying to solve it, though so it might take a while before anything new happens. And I do think Cassie is beggining to lose interest in us.

Hey Cassie...

Well maybe this thread could be a wake-up call for the people behind CiW. Everyone so far has said pretty much the same thing: we're still interested in playing, but you HAVE TO give us some sort of hint or direction to let us know what to do next.

Cassie, if you're done with this game PLEASE JUST TELL US SO!

I barely care anymore =/.
At least LG15 got good again with the last video!
Maybe the Cassie team are trying to intergrate that into their story? Or looking for new locations?
Or maybe they're just sitting back and laughing at us for investing so much time into CiW. But I'm not pissed off, I'm not gonna call them names or get myself all huffy because thay would make me no better than the YouTubers who post on Bree's vlog saying "LIAR!!! SLUT!!! FAKER!!!!".

I feel like, if it stops now I could easily move on but if something new and exciting comes up I'll be dragged straight back in.

They're probably waiting for us to solve the anagram (I for one have tried but can't get anywhere) or they're waiting for us to realise something.

Buhh, I dunno .

I'm following the LG15 videos in roughly the same way that I intermittently follow a show I sort-of-like on cable. I'm happy with the way they've picked up the plot, though.

I'm out of CiW. The combination of the SL deadend and then the ... I don't know what to call it, the stubborn idiocy? ... of another fvcking anagram was too much -- I've lost respect for the creators. O well, echoing pretty much what everyone else has said. I still think those first three CiW vids were fun; maybe the creators will read up on ARGs and then come back with another project.

In other news, there are three new ARGs on the unforums -- AV, Sameeeees, and Ny Takma -- produced by PMs who, by virtue of being indie like CiW, may also fizzle out, but for now all three are developing in very fast and interesting directions.

Still somewhat interested...but since the SL thing...I'm a bit turned off by it. I liked the spooky videos, creepy voicemails, drops, etc...but not interested in the SL aspect at all...and also it seems to be clues to nothing, lately.

I'm little more than a glorified lurker, but I'm still interested. :D

Souixgrl20 makes a logical point on Cassie's YT comments:

"Right now there is

1) an unsolved clue at Frank's blog,

2) a long unsolved poem from Cassie delivered on 10-12-06, and

3) a real-life clown painting found in San Gabriel that has barely been analyzed.

And you want MORE clues?

Veteran ARGers say that some puzzles in ARGs go unsolved for a year or more.

Don't expect constant instant gratification from an ARG. You get out what you put in."

...though I agree with most of you that the Devine Miss C needs to throw us a few bones with regard to said clues. She's gotta realize that she's dealing with a large varied audience rather than a handful hardcore ARG'ers with a lot of time on their hands. Unfortunately, this is an instant gratification society.

I'm attempting to make head way on the anagram .... but it's coming along rather slow. I was about ready to be done with it, and just wait to see if anyone else solved any of it. So, I'm somewhere in the still playing/interested group.
