ummmm..watch the video...it's gemmers. so they even left the doggie behind. figured they'd have eaten it as part of the ceremony. guess the diet wasn't so strange after all, huh, gemmers?

Okay. So the plot thickens.
Apparently Bree is at a young age to be chosen for this ceremony, just like the girl before. I haven't been mentally checked in to exactly what has been theorized recently about what the ceremony could be, so I'm not sure if that effects any of the theories currently being played around with.
That was the main thing that popped out at me. Oh, and also that who knows if the letters were from the family, or just sent from the order to make it seem like they hadn't disappeared off the face of the planet. Not a lot of people would take off and leave without so much as their dog, and if they did, there certainly would be no reason to write back to the people that made them flee with such obvious panic as to not even send for their momentos.
Also, how old is Gemma now? 20? So the last time the ceremony was done was 12 years ago? That is if I remember her age right. Any significance there?
Gah, sorry if that was long and incomprehensible, it's late.
Edit: okay, 19, so it would have been approximately 11 years ago, maybe give or take a year or two because of the way she said it like she wasn't entirely positive
