symbols on body
i was thinking of the watchers symbol and how gemma said there were many different symbols on the diagram she saw
which led me to wondering
is it posible bree could have a symbol somewhere on her body?
i remember there was a speculation about something on her back in the Swimming video, could that possibly be a mark of somekind?
i could be totally wrong but its an interresting idea..

Hmm, wonder why it didn't post my response. What I originally said was: Good point. Have you looked at the video?islandlove wrote:i was thinking of the watchers symbol and how gemma said there were many different symbols on the diagram she saw

I think the problem is we can't really tell what's on her back. It looks more like an actual scar to me, but I can't say for sure. I took some screen shots and torchered the images in photoshop, but still it just comes out looking like blurry pixels.
In terms of ancient Egyptian history, I think the idea is interesting tho. Most of the bodies found or perhaps the only remains of bodies found in that area that are tatooed are those of women. Specifically, a couple they say might've been priestesses of Hathor. I think it had something to do with tatoos mostly being found on the dancers/musicians which among other things as well, Hathor was the goddess of. They say the tatoos themselves appear geometrical and abstract in nature, which I translate as: they don't really know what they mean beyond decoration. But some speculate that on one body it appears one set of tattoos relates to fertility...(coughs)... considering the location.
At any rate, I'm intrigued by this 'book' Gemma was talking about and what all the symbols/tatts can mean. I've been reading up on Egyptian hiroglyphics and while I can see a couple of glyphs that come close to the 'Watchers' tatt (like the glyphs for... weep and children(?)of the sun) they don't quite hit the mark if you're going to be a purist about it.
I don't know what the actual glyph(s) for 'people who watch' would be in ancient egyptian hieroglyphics and I don't forsee putting the time in to try to figure that out (laughs). However, just from my readings, if they were going to make-up the symbol, the one they chose doesn't seem aesethetically consistent which kinda bugs me. But, o well.. a symbol is what you make of it and this is fiction. (shrugs). I'm definately looking forward to seeing more pop up.

Earlier I read a topic by Ashley that was quite lengthy and some people got on her about it, so I guess she took it down. Anyway, in what she posted there was a part that said the Illuminati sometimes "scarred" special people with symbols. That sure looks like a scar or brand to me.

Ok, I found it. It was SarahwithouttheH under the topic "Just Something Interesting" right here in plot discussion.iqfrenzy wrote:Earlier I read a topic by Ashley that was quite lengthy and some people got on her about it, so I guess she took it down. This is what she wrote (considering she posted a lot, it's about the fourth post by here, and it isn't a long one):
Quote:
They also place scars with occult designs on their victims. The Illuminati slaves, who are hierarchy members of the Illuminati, are not tattooed, although a hard-to-see scar consisting of dots in a triangle on the third eye is done to some members. The prohibition against marking up one’s body is not consistently enforced in the Illuminati--it seems this standard is enforced more with the women than the male Illuminati members.
Good work, Sara.

Thanks for finding the post iqfrenzy. So, going with the Illuminati theories and Sara's info what does that say to you? That Bree was a victim or is an Illuminati slave?iqfrenzy wrote:Ok, I found it. My guess would be she is a slave; she doesn't seem to know what she is involved in.Pi wrote:Thanks for finding the post iqfrenzy.
