What were they looking for?

The watcher was definately looking for something IN P. Monkey. The fact that he attacked Owen, and looked under the bed (where stuffed animals could fall), and then he flipped through the book (it must be something small he is looking for)...definately points to the letter Bree's parents left her or something else inside of P. Monkey.

Here were my ideas posted after the babysitting video:

Bree has something they want.
1. Maybe they wanted to take her money so she and Daniel would have to stop.

2.Maybe Bree was given something important to them or to the ceremony while she was being prepared and now they need it back.

3.Maybe in addition to money and a note her parents left her something important that cannot fall into the wrong hands. Once Opaphid realized the parents did not have "it" they decided to search Bree's stuff.

Whatever they were looking for, I have full confidence that no matter how much they torture Owen, he wouldn't give up the information! He'd never sacrifice his friends! Well, maybe P Monkey, but not Bree and Daniel!

Bree said the money was stolen.

What would the Order need their money for?

Maybe Jonas is too convenient because he's a setup.

In motel #1, they know full well where Bree and Daniel are and what they've been up to, but instead of acting they watch and just keep tabs on them. They could've acted at any time.

Now the Jonas character shows up, conveniently, with his big empty house and begins via vlogs to gain Bree's trust.

At this moment, the room gets ransacked and all their money stolen. The question might not be "what were they looking for?" but "why now?"

There are clearly ways to search through a room and steal items without making it look like a tsunami passed through. I would think something as shady as the Order would not be so amature as that. If they went in and threw the room about and stole all their money, obviously their prey would run off again. It's possible that they purposely made a huge mess and took their hotel money to drive them off....somewhere (i.e. Jonas).

So maybe the cliched-ness of Jonas' backstory isn't due to bad writing, but simply because Jonas is even an actor in the Breeniverse, hired by the Order to be exactly what Bree and Daniel need right now.

Probably to force them to come out of "hiding". If they have no money for a hotel and no place to go, maybe they'll give up running and she'll confront the Order. I dunno.

Or maybe JONAS ransacked the room! He has been following Bree on youtube etc and would be able to figure out where they are. Well maybe.

Anyways, that would be an interesting plot twist.

Maybe...they were just letting her know that they were not only there...but that they can be anywhere they want, ya know? Make their presence known...put a scare in her in hopes she'll give up and go home?

I think they took the money to force Bree and Daniel into a corner. Pretty much, they have to go home. Soon they are going to run out of gas money and food money and are either going to be stuck returning home or in the middle of the road somewhere.

Yes. Good point.

Maybe she'll go to Jonas though.
The idea that he's a setup is possible.

What about Tachyon? She apologized for "the mess" in her drop.
And we know she's close to Bree and Daniel.
Could it have been her?
