The Giver related to Jonas?

Just a thought... Jonas seems to be a real "Bruce Wayne" character. I thought that even before he suggested it. Makes me wonder... Anyway, do you think Jonas relates to The Giver?

I adore the Giver. :}
I think Jonas relates more to some biblical story.
